Duties & Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostic testing to accurately identify issues
• General service and repair work on various types of vehicles
• Ensure all work is consistently carried out to a high standard
• Complete job cards and report work status to our Head Technician
• Maintain a tidy work area and properly store all tools and spare parts
• Handle other typical duties of a Diesel Mechanic

Skills and Experience:

• Full Diesel Mechanic qualifications (minimum of Cert III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology)
• Experience with engine rebuilds, clutches, and gearboxes is advantageous
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
• Familiarity with the layout of European, American, and Japanese trucks
• Ability to work effectively both in a team and independently
• Valid driver ’ s license
• Reliable punctuality and strong time management skills

• Actively follow all Workplace Health & Safety procedures and practices consistent with legislative requirements and regulations.
• Provide mechanical maintenance and repairs to 4WD buses to safety standards
• Provide mechanical maintenance and repairs to the Resort fleet of vehicles to safety standards
• Provide mechanical maintenance and repairs to the Resort plant and equipment to safety standards
• Test drive vehicles

• Trade Qualification - Commercial Diesel Mechanic
• Hold current MR/HR licence (must have at time of application)
• Physically fit and able
• Knowledge of mechanical workshop operations and associated equipment
• Ability to operate and interpret diagnostic equipment

This role comes in the form on casual/contracting as well as a temp-to-perm opportunity offering competitive rates, consistent workflow, and exposure to a diverse fleet of heavy mobile equipment.

This privately owned contractor has built a strong reputation across Western Australia for delivering high-quality mechanical repairs and maintenance to the mining, civil construction, and transport sectors. • Repair or replace worn or damaged parts such as pistons, bearings, gears, and valves.
  

• Maintain accurate service records and inspection logs.
  

• Ensure all repairs meet safety standards and comply with regulations.
  

• Collaborate with team members, supervisors, and parts suppliers.
  

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic.
