The intern will work with PATH's Digital Health Team. The Digital Health team engages with multiple stakeholders, and this will be an opportunity to be part of a dynamic team with a growing portfolio of impactful work in the digital health space. The intern will work closely on exciting projects being undertaken by the Digital health team and get first-hand experience of digital solutions taken up in the field across the country. The expected skills include but are not limited to program planning, implementation & management, facilitation at various levels and reporting and documentation.

About Role:
Overall learning goals for the Intern include but are not limited to:

  • Develop a broad understanding about the digital health ecosystem in India
  • Conduct Research and Data Analysis in the field of digital health, innovation, and emerging technology.
  • Develop technical reports, briefs and presentations for Program Deliverables and Proposals.

Responsibilities:
As a part of the Digital Health Team, the Intern will perform the following duties and deliverables:

  • Conduct Data Analysis and Secondary research to inform various project strategies.
  • Coordinate multi-stakeholder meetings and workshops.
  • Ensure seamless coordination between program team and other stakeholders.
  • Undertake design, documentation and report writing.

Responsibilities


  • Content Management, Vision & Planning - works across the whole range of GOA content deliverables and will contribute to the focus and content of GPS subscriptions as a market expert and manager. As a Program Area leader, the RD will be responsible for building a vision and strategy for the Program. Owns the content plan for the Program and is responsible for executing the plan and delivering the commitments of the Program.
  • Team Leadership & Management - leads and manages the analyst team for a Program Area and will be responsible for the selection and recruitment of GOA staff for the Program. The RM carries responsibility for the combined output of the team and the performance of individuals under his/her management.
  • Personal Content Creation -Delivers high quality, high impact GOA deliverables, both on his/her own and by leveraging inputs from team members. Provides thought leading content to feed into the Practice Area's GPS offering and Best Practices Award program. Main focus is on identification and analysis of market growth opportunities, production of Frost Radars and Companies 2 Action.
  • GOA Deliverables (GO-IN) -The RD has full responsibility for the GOA output of the global Program Area. The RD will build the vision and production plan and be responsible for execution to target, as well as the individual performances of all analysts in the Program.
  • Best Practice Awards -The RD will manage the analyst team for the Program Area to deliver high quality BP Awards and to hit production targets. Will also be responsible for producing his/her own regular BP Award deliverables based on GOA deliverables. The RD commonly attends Award Banquets and client sites for award presentations. The RD will also provide valuable additions to junior team members, generate Award ideas for his/her team, nominate and justify companies for awards.

  • Thought Leadership and Visibility - will have a visible presence on social media to showcase market expertise and thought leadership. Required Competencies

About the Project

PATH is supporting the Government of Andhra Pradesh as a technical assistance partner to advance Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM)-enabled digital health adoption across the state. As part of this initiative, the Program Officer will be responsible for leading and managing the technical components of ABDM. This includes supporting the ABDM-enablement of digital health solutions, guiding healthcare facilities and technology partners through technical onboarding, ensuring compliance with data exchange standards, and troubleshooting technical issues. The Program Officer will work closely with the state health department, IT vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth deployment and operationalization of key ABDM modules.

Responsibilities

Techno-Functional Implementation Support

  • Act as the bridge between the functional needs of healthcare facilities and the technical teams implementing ABDM-enabled digital health solutions.
  • Facilitate the onboarding of public and private healthcare facilities into ABDM ecosystem

Education Qualification and Experience

About the Project

PATH is supporting the Government of Andhra Pradesh as a technical assistance partner to advance Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM)-enabled digital health adoption across the state. As part of this initiative, the Program Officer will be responsible for leading and managing the technical components of ABDM. This includes supporting the ABDM-enablement of digital health solutions, guiding healthcare facilities and technology partners through technical onboarding, ensuring compliance with data exchange standards, and troubleshooting technical issues. The Program Officer will work closely with the state health department, IT vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth deployment and operationalization of key ABDM modules.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and facilitate the ABDM-enablement of digital health solutions in alignment with the national ABDM architecture and guidelines, working in close coordination with the National Health Authority (NHA), state health department, digital solution providers, and healthcare institutions.
  • Provide hands-on, on-ground technical support to healthcare facilities (both public and private) for onboarding and implementing ABDM-enabled solutions.
  • Assist facilities and IT vendors in system integration, conducting API testing, troubleshooting issues related to ABHA generation, HFR/HPR entries, and overall interoperability with ABDM.
  • Ensure that deployed systems are compatible with ABDM specifications including consent architecture, data privacy requirements, and secure health information exchange.
  • Support and guide the technical sandbox and live environment testing, ensuring solutions are certified and production-ready.
  • Perform technical validation and demonstrate interoperability between ABDM-enabled solutions to ensure seamless data exchange.
  • Participate in and coordinate state-level technical review meetings, contributing technical insights, progress updates, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Organize and conduct specialized technical trainings and capacity-building sessions for health facility staff, IT teams, vendors, and other implementation stakeholders, as required to strengthen understanding and execution of ABDM activities.
  • Act as a liaison between the state health department, healthcare providers, system integrators/digital solution vendors to ensure a collaborative and effective implementation approach.
  • Maintain documentation of technical workflows, training materials, SOPs, and support resources to facilitate sustainable and scalable deployment.
  • Monitor the status of ABDM integration across facilities, flag challenges early, and support corrective actions to maintain momentum and quality of implementation.
  • Identify use cases to accelerate adoption of ABDM-enabled digital solutions

Educational Qualification and Experience

  • Bachelor or Master degree in Computer science, Information Technology, Health Informatics, or any other relevant technical field.
  • Minimum of 7-8 years of professional experience in technical roles across digital health, healthcare IT, system integration and technology implementation.
  • Prior experience working with state/district government departments or health IT projects, particularly ABDM or similar initiatives is highly desirable.
  • Hands on experience with health data standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR) and familiarity with ABDM frameworks, registries (ABHA, HFR, HPR), and data privacy regulations.

Skills/ Abilities

  • Advanced technical expertise in digital health ecosystems, including EHR/EMR systems, health data interoperability, and ABDM compliant solution integration.
  • Proficiency in integrating APIs, working with data exchange protocols (e.g., REST, SOAP), and ensuring system interoperability in healthcare environments.
  • Strong skills in programming languages (e.g., Python, Java) for health IT solution development or customization.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues related to software integration, data workflows, and system compatibility in fast paced environments.

About the Role

As a strategic advisor and influential voice, you bring deep industry expertise and a keen understanding of Digital Health industry dynamics. You serve not only as a valued partner to clients but also play a pivotal role in driving corporate-level initiatives and collaborating with leaders across Healthcare & Life Sciences Program Areas.


You will lead the global research strategy for one or more Program Areas within Digital Health industry, shaping the direction, capabilities, and culture of the team. As Research Director, you are responsible for nurturing talent, refining internal processes, and elevating the quality and impact of all elements within the Growth Opportunity Analytics (GOA) business.


This is more than a leadership role—it’s a platform for influence. You inspire through thought leadership, actively shaping industry conversations via social media, press engagements, client roundtables, and keynote events. Internally, you lead with insight; externally, with credibility and vision—advancing Frost & Sullivan’s reputation and relevance across your sector.

Responsibilities


  • Content Management, Vision & Planning - works across the whole range of GOA content deliverables and will contribute to the focus and content of GPS subscriptions as a market expert and manager. As a Program Area leader, the RD will be responsible for building a vision and strategy for the Program. Owns the content plan for the Program and is responsible for executing the plan and delivering the commitments of the Program.
  • Team Leadership & Management - leads and manages the analyst team for a Program Area and will be responsible for the selection and recruitment of GOA staff for the Program. The RM carries responsibility for the combined output of the team and the performance of individuals under his/her management.
  • Personal Content Creation -Delivers high quality, high impact GOA deliverables, both on his/her own and by leveraging inputs from team members. Provides thought leading content to feed into the Practice Area's GPS offering and Best Practices Award program. Main focus is on identification and analysis of market growth opportunities, production of Frost Radars and Companies 2 Action.
  • GOA Deliverables (GO-IN) -The RD has full responsibility for the GOA output of the global Program Area. The RD will build the vision and production plan and be responsible for execution to target, as well as the individual performances of all analysts in the Program.
  • Best Practice Awards -The RD will manage the analyst team for the Program Area to deliver high quality BP Awards and to hit production targets. Will also be responsible for producing his/her own regular BP Award deliverables based on GOA deliverables. The RD commonly attends Award Banquets and client sites for award presentations. The RD will also provide valuable additions to junior team members, generate Award ideas for his/her team, nominate and justify companies for awards.
  • Frost Radars -Responsible for producing Frost Radar deliverables in his/her market or industry of expertise, either in his/her own or from the Program Area analyst team. Is able to present the value of the Frost Radar as a tool for benchmarking companies' future growth potential.
  • Thought Leadership and Visibility - will have a visible presence on social media to showcase market expertise and thought leadership. Will lead growth opportunity presentations across industries, deliver Analyst Briefings, give press interviews, present at conferences/seminars and produce GOA material to be usd in Think Tank sessions. The RD will be a thought leader in specific market areas and be comfortable presenting high impact growth opportunities to senior level audiences, as well as facilitating and moderating strategic discussion sessions.
  • IP Development -Will be a creative thinker and regularly generate and contribute new ideas for GOA topics, products and services in his/her Program Area. The RD will also be able to identify and justify new market areas to develop and integrate into the Practice Area vision and strategy.
  • GPaaS Projects -Will contribute to GPaaS projects as an expert analyst or by leveraging his/her analyst team. The RD would be expected to leverage industry expertise for growth opportunity identification and benchmarking future growth potential by using Frost Radars etc. Will support growth pipeline dialogues (GPDs), growth diagnostics and make suitable project inputs and recommendations.

Required Competencies

The Successful candidate will have an educational background in business, market research, economics, journalism, or technology with an enthusiastic curiosity about the critical role Digital Health industry plays in enabling business around the world. A proactive, methodical, and innovative – thinking outside the box – working practice is essential, with the ability to deliver accurate, high impact results in a fast-paced team-focused environment.


  • A relevant university degree (BA, BE, BS) in engineering, science, business administration, sociology, journalism, marketing, market intelligence, market research or technology. A postgraduate degree (Master’s or PhD) is highly regarded and considered an advantage
  • Minimum 10 years of analyst/consulting working experience within healthcare or digital health market research and/or advisory services business environment.
  • The ability to research and write a coherent story in proper English about a topic is critical.
  • A foundational understanding of consulting/research/investigative journalism methodologies and business modelling (primary/secondary research, coherent story development).
  • A foundational understanding of the Digital Health industry, such as industry structure, operational practices, and competitive landscapes.
  • Strong ability to conduct market forecasting and competitive benchmarking analyses.
  • Desire, curiosity, and enthusiasm to build your expertise in the Digital Health industry domain to become a respected thought leader.
  • The ability to network to create new relationships and to proactively manage on-going relationships to stay relevant to the market intelligence needs of the clients.
  • Enthusiasm for supporting business development initiatives that benefit the entire team.
  • An analytical thought process, with outstanding written and verbal communication skills and business level fluency in English.
  • The desire to learn public presentation skills in front of an audience and a video camera.
