About the Role:
We’re looking for a detail-oriented and proactive professional to join our Finance & Accounts team in the role of Direct Taxation . This role plays a crucial part in ensuring timely and accurate tax compliance, including preparation and filing of returns, coordination with internal and external stakeholders, and supporting tax assessments and audits across the organization.

What You’ll Do:
- Ensure timely preparation and filing of TDS returns in compliance with statutory timelines.
- Assist in the filing of income tax returns and audits under applicable income tax laws.
- Support activities related to income tax assessments, notices, and appeals , including visits to tax offices as required.
- Maintain accurate bookkeeping of tax-related transactions and perform reconciliations between books and filed returns.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders for matters related to income tax audits, returns, and other related compliances.
- Liaise with consultants on various tax compliance activities and ensure timely completion.
- Partner with finance teams across hospital units to ensure adherence to Income Tax laws and internal policies.
- Assist in knowledge sharing sessions with finance teams to build awareness and understanding of tax compliance requirements.
- Support the implementation of centralized processes to improve efficiency and accuracy in income tax compliance.
- Perform other routine activities related to direct taxation as required.
What We’re Looking For:
- Graduate in Commerce/Finance or equivalent with a professional qualification such as CA/ICWA/MBA (Finance) preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in Direct Taxation , preferably within a corporate or healthcare environment.
- Strong understanding of Income tax laws, TDS regulations, and tax assessment procedures .
- Experience in coordinating with tax authorities, consultants, and cross-functional teams.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results within defined timelines.

The Opportunity
The Direct Tax Manager will play a pivotal role in managing Ultrahuman's direct tax function, including domestic and international tax compliance, advisory, and planning. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee preparation and filing of income tax returns for entities across jurisdictions.
- Manage tax audits, assessments, and ensure accurate and timely submissions.
- Provide expert tax advisory support for business decisions and cross-border transactions.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with TDS, advance tax, and other statutory obligations.

Qualifications

A day in the life
On a day to day basis, the candidate will be responsible for achieving the revenue for the business by driving strategic conversations, work backwards from account acquisition goals and implement growth strategy for the named HVS accounts. The candidate will execute account level KPIs/metrics by focusing on marketplace brand presence, leveraging available channels for faster delivery to Amazon customers, developing Advertisement strategy and improving selection quality that can generate sales orders.
