Job Description
Drive and enable E4E and E2R programs and maintain YOY improvements, collaborate with upstream and drive SDP/A3 & HOS/LPD/CMMI practices.
This position reports into the Global Honeywell V&V leader and placed in Bangalore.
The primary accountability for this role includes, but not limited to
+ Responsible as a Global Director for BA V&V (FIRE, SEC, HBS, BMS) in driving all programs for successful launch, continuation support and certifications.
+ Leading transformative initiatives involving large global organization
+ Set direction and strategies for V&V teams across global locations (India, Europe, China, US)
+ Collaborate with Global GBE /LOB CTOs in driving NPI priorities and customer satisfaction
+ Support business priorities aligned to RDE / respective BA business
+ Responsible and ensure the team/organization meets the goals, milestone, and costs of programs. Assist in solving problems. Knock down roadblocks with rapid and appropriate escalation if not possible. Responsible for meeting Cost, Schedule commitments with the required quality for the Programs
+ Responsible for AOP commitments (fixed cost) such as hiring and retaining talent as per the program, demands, yield, fill rate, Capex/OpEx etc. for one or more products in V&V COE.
+ Drive Growth through new product ideations.
+ Responsible for working closely with both internal and external stakeholders, influencing them and drive upstream connectivity and change.
+ Responsible for driving BTIs and BTPs
+ Responsible for continual communication and reference to Burning Platform with team/organization and motivate the team to address the Burning Platform
+ Responsible to Identify, prioritize and deploy key improvement strategies/initiatives (e.g., Test design Automation, Frameworks, AI, Simulations, etc) across product lines and programs to drive improvements (Product quality, customer satisfaction, innovation Productivity and Cycle Time) in line with the Software V&V COE SDP priorities.
+ Drive common test environments, tools, processes, test methodologies across all projects. Drive Capex / OPEX, Infrastructure.
+ Cross collaborate across SBG V&V team, scale best practices.
+ Responsible for Talent strategies of the team, (Test Experts/Test Architects) as per the TRR and CDP plan. Develop strong technical leadership in the Product line.
+ Ensure the COE performance is linked closely to the business metrics such as on-time delivery, VPD, yield, product/project costing, innovation etc.
+ Develop strong leadership pipeline. Accountable for People Leadership (MRR/TRR) for his/her functional team.
+ Bachelor's degree in engineering, science or equivalent.
+ Minimum 15+ years' experience in software/systems test and development
+ Held Senior Engineering Manager or Equivalent role for a minimum of 3 years.
+ Exposure of working with multi-site, multi-culturally diverse organization
+ Strong technical and industrial automation domain skills with emphasis in the areas of software development, verification processes and certifications.
+ Experience across BA products in Software Development and system test
+ Experience with preparation and execution of project plans, schedules, cost estimates, baseline change management, risk mitigation, technical design reviews, management reviews, customer coordination meetings, cost/schedule/status reporting.
+ Experience leading multi-functional engineering teams within a global matrix organization. Self-initiative to reach out to team and form effective working relationships
+ Experience in driving change through an organization
+ A good people leader, quick to identify people problems, fosters teamwork and ensures transparency and fairness in all actions
+ Strong Influencing skills to drive improvements strategy. Create a chain of communication that will ensure that all employees can remain on the same page regarding the improvement goals & strategies
+ Role modeling the Honeywell Values & Behaviors and driving the culture & behaviors across the V&V CoE.
+ Engineering, Architecture knowledge of products /solution in short cycle business, building automation portfolio will be a plus.

We are looking for a hands-on Director of Engineering to join the Indias Engineering organization; you will help scale and build the next generation of platform and services/products.
As a technology leader, you will help build a top-tier software organization that is responsible for the development and upkeep of highly scalable, reliable, and available (5 nines) systems.
This position is a people manager role reporting to the VP, Product & Technology.
Responsibility:
Hire and develop great talent while building a solid engineering organization that thrives on execution, innovation and learning.
Deliver products that delight customers while managing the health of the code base through continuous refactoring and management of technical debt.
Champion the culture, processes, and tools required to maintain a frictionless high-quality development environment while being an expert at agile continuous delivery, DevOps and TDD/BDD
Dive deep into technology and are on the forefront of the latest tools, technologies, and strategies and help evaluate, prototype, and introduce them to our team
Provide coaching and leadership in software best practices, automated test strategies, and work toward flattening the cost of change curve for our software products and services
Prioritize great user experiences and be a partner to product management and engineering, sales, operations, and other parts of the business
Be a hands-on technical resource who directs product and technology teams to conceptualize, build and deploy products in a fast-paced agile environment.
What you Bring:
Basic:
12+ years of combined software development & management experience across multiple languages and frameworks or equivalent experience.
8+ years hands on software development or equivalent experience.
3+ years managing software organizations over 25 people or equivalent experience.
Demonstrated track record of building and leading 25+ size global engineering teams in India while collaborating heavily with teams based in the US and other global locations.
Demonstrated track record of innovating on v1 products - driving them from ideation to usage by millions of users in a startup-like environment.
You obsess over customer experiences and will be a partner to product management/engineering, sales, operations, and other parts of the business.
You thrive in a fast paced, execution driven environment.
Preferred:
Experience managing direct reports that are people managers.
Experience with full stack SaaS development - prior experience in Enterprise SaaS companies.
Experience building an integration platform and infrastructure to seamlessly integrate 1st and 3rd party applications.
Experience with distributed backend systems that involved REST API abstraction layers in complex enterprise environments with SOA and ROA or equivalent.
Knowledge and experience in high scale, highly available (99.99+) system
Demonstrated track record of being a change agent, leaving every team and process better than you found it.
