Job Title: Associate Director – Procurement (Civil & Operations)
Department: Supply Chain Management
Location: Navi Mumbai
Reports To: Vice President – SCM
Budget: 50 LPA+ 15%
Role Overview:
We are looking for a seasoned procurement leader with deep domain experience in the data center industry to lead strategic sourcing for civil infrastructure and critical operations . This role is instrumental in enabling scalable, resilient, and cost-efficient procurement across large-scale data center construction and 24x7 mission-critical operations .
Must-Have Domain Experience:
- 7–10 years of core procurement experience in the data center industry or similarly capital-intensive sectors like hyperscale infrastructure, telecom, or industrial manufacturing .
- Proven track record in sourcing civil, structural, and MEP packages for greenfield/brownfield DC builds.
- Hands-on experience in procuring O&M services , AMC contracts , critical spares , and vendor management for live DC operations.
- Deep understanding of long-lead items , specialized DC vendors , and navigating supply chain risks in this sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Sourcing & Execution
- Design and execute category strategies for Civil Works, MEP systems, Facility Management, AMC/CAMCs , Security & Ops supplies.
- Lead end-to-end RFP/RFQ processes with robust evaluation frameworks.
Contracting & Risk Management
- Lead high-value negotiations ensuring cost competitiveness, quality, and favorable risk terms.
- Partner with Legal for airtight contracts with strong SLA frameworks and risk mitigation clauses.
Supplier & Ops Management
- Drive supplier onboarding, audits, and performance evaluation using structured KPIs.
- Manage vendor escalations, cost overruns, and delivery slippages for multi-site builds and live sites.
Cost Optimization & Value Engineering
- Deliver measurable cost savings and cost avoidance through smart sourcing and negotiation.
- Implement Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) frameworks for capital and service buys.
Required Experience & Education:
- 15–20 years overall procurement experience, with at least 5–7 years in a senior leadership role.
- Must have data center industry procurement experience (not optional).
- Bachelor's in Engineering/Supply Chain/Business; MBA or CPSM/CIPS/PMP preferred .
- Proficiency in SAP Ariba / Oracle Procurement Cloud / Contract Management Tools .
