About Role:
The mission for Affinity’s Head of User Experience is to lead our Product design vision, build a strong UX team, and create exceptional interactive experiences for all Affinity AdTech products which deliver ads to millions of users globally. Based in Mumbai, this role will spearhead the UX strategy for our comprehensive product suite spanning US, Europe, and Asian markets.
Your team will be the guardians of user experience excellence, delivering highly intuitive digital experiences for enterprise clients, brand partners, and internal stakeholders exploring and using Affinity’s web portals, mobile apps, SaaS tools and analytics dashboards. The role also involves ensuring that users experience friendly, non- interruptive, useful and smooth ads and platforms; and weave the fabric of ‘design thinking’ across teams, by conducting training sessions, mentoring product managers, creating user flows, building wireframes, high & low fidelity prototypes with best-in-class design concepts. The role will partner closely with product owners, usability testing leads, and engineers to enhance the overall design standards, quality, value, and experience of Affinity’s products.
Furthermore, the role requires analysing user satisfaction data and developing an evolving framework to ensure continuous improvement. Be a ‘numbers nerd’ in addition to being a ‘UX nerd’. The role will drive relevant software adoption, success KPIs, keep up with the latest developments in User Experience, perform regular UX audits, improve the benchmarks and create a design-centric product- led growth. The role will also assist the marketing teams with company communication across Affinity’s owned and operated websites and apps.
Roles & Responsibility:
- Lead the UX practice and promote org- wide adoption of “UX design philosophy” across all ad products, customer facing dashboards, internal admin tools, Saas tools, and owned and operated websites and apps.
- Think Visual, Act Visual - Be involved with product design process, from problem definition to detailed visual design; communicate design solutions through (low and high-fidelity) wireframes, defining information architecture, user flow diagrams, storyboards, sitemaps, prototypes and design system creation.
- Think Data - Deep dive into data to derive insights across channels, countries, languages to deliver the ideal levels of user engagement.
- Think Collaboration - Partner with product managers, UX/ UI designers, developers and business teams to deliver ideal user experiences which improve engagement, cross-functional collaboration and drive a user-centric design culture.
- Think Experiences - Create design experiences for high-impact audiences and data-driven design solutions that will bring real value, drive enriching user engagement and measurable business impact.
- Think Validation - Conducting user testing sessions, user interviews, research phases. Validate and support solutions through User Research and Testing.
- Think Design Systems - Ensure adherence to design best practices and standards, design consistency across our product platforms adhering to Affinity Design System. Our platforms include Desktop, Mobile site and mobile applications (iOS and Android) creating consistent design quality and perform UX Audits to improve quality.
- Think Management - Lead, mentor, recruit talent, grow and build high-performing UX team with various design tools (Figma etc). Create and manage a team management framework to work closely with UX team members and assign them KPIs (establish UX Success metrics) and objectives that can be achieved.
Required Skills:
- 10+ years of experience in UX across consumer facing digital apps/websites with experience in advertising and media preferred, and 4+ years leading teams in SaaS/ B2B environments.
- Design Tools - Expert in Figma, design systems, responsive web design, and accessibility standards.
- Research - User research methodologies, usability testing, analytics tools, and A/B testing.
- Technical - Web technologies understanding, agile methodologies, and developer collaboration.
- Exceptional skills in ideation, sketching, wireframing, user flows, mapping and information
architecture.
- Fluency with design tools, most notably OmniGraffle, Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Invision
and/or other UX & prototyping software.
- Clear and current understanding of the capabilities and limitations of HTML, CSS, JavaScript &
developing platforms.
- Data nerd – great skill combing through analytics and behavioural insights to generate new
experiments and opportunities to improve our products and differentiate the user experience.
- Knowledge of usability principles and practices, graphic styles, and composition rules.
- Strong understanding of web design best practices, usability patterns, and latest UI/UX trends.
- Profound capacity to turn complex interactions into intuitive user experiences.
- Flexibility, curiosity, and creativity, with an openness to new ideas and innovative solutions.
