Chief Operating Officer | Finance Division | Management Accounting 

Management Accounting Branch is responsible for internal budget allocations (departmental/administered and capital); internal management reporting and analysis; providing strategic financial advice to stakeholders through the Group Finance Partner network; and delivering a strategic costing framework for the Department of Home Affairs Portfolio. This process will be used to fill positions in the Group Finance Partner (Finance Manager) and the Capital Investment Program (Assistant Director) space. Duties and responsibilities

Key/common responsibilities across these roles include:

  • Provide high level strategic financial advice and support to internal and external stakeholders. 
  • Directly undertake high level and complex analysis of financial data for internal and external stakeholders. 
  • Ensure consistent application of government frameworks. 
  • Provide leadership and act with professionalism, representing the division and potentially responsible for staff management including day to day tasking, career management and ongoing coaching and mentoring of staff.
  • Assisting the development and ongoing financial management of departmental, capital/project and administered business budgets for stakeholders, and in doing so provide independent financial advice in support of strategic and operational decisions (to both the CFO and Business Divisions), including financial risk and mitigation strategies. 
  • Report on, and present information to individuals or large groups of stakeholders, including Senior Executives.
  • Offer strategies to senior stakeholders (First Assistant Secretaries/ Assistant Secretaries) to comply with the financial framework and ensure efficient and effective delivery of outcomes.

In this role, Managed the overall transition of RIU/MRC activities from onshore to the Hub in Malaysia, supporting the Director of the Regulatory Identification Unit within GBS Malaysia. Acted as a key deputy providing strategic and operational support for managing regulatory changes through horizon scanning and regulatory dissemination aligned with local country processes. Represented RIU in working-level forums, coordinated inputs for senior management updates, and collaborated closely with country and group stakeholders to ensure service delivery, transparency in prioritization, and effective resource alignment as part of the lift, shift, and migrate initiative. Responsibilities To manage overall transition of RIU/MRC activities from onshore to the Hub (Malaysia): This role will support Director, Regulatory Identification Unit Risk & CFCR as part of Regulatory Identification Unit based in GBS Malaysia. This role holder will act as key deputy in providing both strategic and operational execution support in managing regulatory changes in a country’s extension model. This will comprise of horizon scanning activities and regulatory dissemination to key Country stakeholders based on local country processes. This role holder would be representing RIU in working level forums, coordinating inputs required for senior management updates and will work in close alignment with key country and group stakeholders to ensure the services rendered by RIU is delivered to expectation and there is transparency in prioritization of BOW and resource alignment as part of lift, shift & migrate initiative Qualifications we seek in you! Minimum Qualifications Minimum of 10-15 years of experience within Banking or Financial Services Knowledge of regulatory identification and their risk types Regulatory experience and understanding of global regulatory universe across Financial Services Understanding of agile ways of working Strong data management, analytical and MI design and operational skills Strong interpersonal, relationship building, and influencing abilities Ability to collaborate and work dynamically across a broad range of stakeholders Ability to manage geographically dispersed stakeholder base with multi-cultural awareness and sensitivity Highly disciplined and structured with an outcome orientated mindset and approach Exemplary integrity, ethics, independence and resilience Why join Genpact?
