POSITION PURPOSE The District Manager – Prosumer is responsible for delivering the Prosumer business plan within the assigned area. The role focuses on driving secondary sales growth through distributor and channel management, expanding customer base, strengthening distributor sales force capability, and ensuring effective execution of sales strategies in alignment with regional goals. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES New Business & Distributor Management
- Develop and implement district-level business plans to achieve sales, distribution, and profitability targets.
- Expand distributor and customer base within the district, ensuring timely onboarding and training.
- Monitor distributor stock, claims, credit, and sales health; take corrective actions where required.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, wholesalers, and channel partners.

- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Distributor Sales Representatives (DSRs) to deliver growth targets.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, set clear KPIs, and provide on-the-job coaching.
- Design and implement town-level coverage and journey plans (PJPs) for effective market reach.
- Ensure DSRs receive regular training on product knowledge, selling skills, distribution planning, and competitive differentiation.
- Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate closely with Regional Sales Manager, Marketing, and Supply Chain to ensure smooth business execution.
- Provide market intelligence and customer insights to support product and marketing strategies.
- Partner with internal functions to resolve operational challenges related to distribution, supply, or service. EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
- MBA from a recognized university with 8–12 years of experience in sales management, preferably in general trade or FMCG/B2B distribution-led businesses.
- Proven expertise in distribution channel management and wholesaler engagement.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in people management, leading frontline sales teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to drive data-led decision making.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
