About the role:
We are seeking a Senior Advisor - Diversity and Inclusion to join us during at an exciting stage of our diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging journey.
The role sees you working across all diversity dimensions with a focus on people with disability, LGBTQIA+ folks, people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, young people and women in management. You understand the importance of an intersectional approach to D&I work, and you can provide strategic advice and expertise around tailoring solutions to effect a positive change in attitude, acceptance and belonging across the Corporation.
This role requires experience working alongside people with disability, management of a Disability Committee, and reporting on Disability Action and Inclusion Plan commitments.
What the role will involve:
· Managing internal diversity Working Groups and Social Networks
· Contributing to the design and delivery of our Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging Strategy
· Developing and rolling out inclusion and belonging initiatives, programs, events and training
· Enabling behavioural change across the Corporation that helps to foster an inclusive workplace
· Building relationships with external government and community organisations, and representing the Corporation on external working groups
· Providing guidance to all areas of the business relating to diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging
· Initiating and maintaining diversity employment and retention strategies
· Translating relevant legislation, protocols and policies into practice to ensure the Corporation is meeting statutory requirements
Key skills and experience:
· Tertiary level qualification or equivalent workplace experience in Diversity and Inclusion, Psychology, Human Resources, Change Management or Learning and Development
· Previously demonstrated diversity and inclusion work experience
· Experience in designing, implementing and successful delivery of diversity and inclusion initiatives
· Exceptional skills in coaching and influencing to drive change
· Strong stakeholder management, collaboration and consultation skills at all levels of the business

The Opportunity
The Manager: Diversity and Inclusion reports to the Director: Excellence, Equity and Inclusion and is responsible for the leadership of the Diversity and Inclusion Team in the design and delivery of evidence-based, inclusive education services to CESA schools and the Catholic Education Office (CEO).
The Diversity and Inclusion Team has broad reach and responsibility for providing support for schools in achieving successful outcomes for students, relating to diversity, equity, and inclusion strategic initiatives and priorities.
This includes Students with Disability Strategy; Aboriginal Education Strategy; Transition and Pathways Strategy. The Manager is responsible for services and targeted support for student engagement and wellbeing; behaviour; the CESA Scholarship Program; the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD) funding; and oversight of the effective implementation of the Keeping Safe: Child Protection Curriculum.
In addition, the Manager develops and executes plans to:
- Ensure outstanding service provision to schools is at the heart of the team’s efforts.
- Ensure the successful implementation of the Students with Disability Strategy; Aboriginal Education Strategy; and Transition and Pathways Strategy.
- Deliver innovative solutions and continuous improvement for young people.
- Monitor and review progress of Diversity and Inclusion initiatives across schools.
- Provide high-quality resources and professional development opportunities for school leaders and teachers, enabling them to meet the diverse needs of children and young people.
- Advance data-informed practices in relation to Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS).

The Manager: Diversity and Inclusion works in close collaboration and partnership with the Manager: Curriculum, Assessment and Pedagogy, Allied Health Manager, and School Performance Leaders.
About You
We are looking for an individual who has:
- Relevant post graduate tertiary degree qualifications – e.g. Master of Educational Leadership or Master of Special Education
- Teaching qualifications and current teacher registration in South Australia
- Successful senior educational leadership experience (preferably Catholic education) and the ability to exercise this leadership collaboratively with the SQP Section and schools.
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of the NCCD and the Disability Standards for Education.
- High-level organisational skills with demonstrated ability to plan strategically, problem solve, prioritise, work to deadlines to achieve quality outcomes, give attention to detail and relate tasks/actions to a broader strategic improvement context
- High-level written and oral communication, interpersonal and negotiating skills with a demonstrated capacity to cooperate and communicate effectively with people at all levels

The Team
The Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Center of Excellence (CoE) is a central functional team made up of advisors, specialists, and enabling partners (i.e., analytics, communications, project managers, and external consultants) to provide foundation-wide direction, governance, tools, and resources to drive the foundation’s DEI commitment and results.

Your Role
The Regional DEI Partner is a DEI Subject Matter Expert (SME) who will be a thought partner by providing guidance, advisory, partnership, and execution support to key stakeholders that includes but not limited to senior leadership, key partners, and functional teams for the purpose of continuous improvement of the foundation’s DEI strategic framework in India and China. This role will require proactive collaboration and vision with senior levels organization-wide to ensure common messaging, sensitivity and accountability.
The postholder will be based at the foundation’s India Country Office (ICO) in New Delhi, and report to the Seattle-based Director, DEI.
What You'll Do-
- Consult with, advise, and constructively work with senior leadership and key partners/collaborators to implement, drive progress against commitments, and deliver impact against DEI division plans in alignment to organizational strategic framework and goals.-
- Partner with a portfolio of leadership and internal partners to embed diversity, equity, and inclusion principles into our talent management and investment making processes.- Identify, recommend, and lead adoption of effective practices for equity centered policies, initiatives, tools, and resources that support systemic change management.- Co-design and collaborate with various stakeholder groups and the DEI Learning and Development team.- Lead external consultants to develop and deploy the resources as required by the regional and country offices.- Maintain a strong awareness and knowledge base of global DEI issues and trends.- Other duties as assigned.
Your Experience- A degree in a relevant field with at least 10 years of experience in DEI or related field of expertise, in a senior role.- Experience designing, implementing and monitoring DEI tools, processes, learning agendas, and indicators that are aligned with organizational strategies and priorities, and drive meaningful impact.- Experience facilitating staff and manager training, dialogue sessions, learning spaces, and staff engagement initiatives.- An ability to establish leadership credibility and build trusted relationships with leaders and employees at all levels of an organization to influence approach and behavior shifts.- Thinks critically, objectively, and strategically about opportunities and develops alternate paths to solutions.
