Purpose of Role

Support the Head of Regional Executive Office ("REO") in leading the newly created Economic Research Unit for MUFG Bank in India. Experienced and Visionary economist to lead our India focused macro-economic research efforts. As Director- you will play a key role in shaping Bank's understanding of the Indian economy, contributing to global investment strategy of MUFG in India and other forums/ committees. The role is also expected to provide economic insights to internal and external stakeholders.

Leading a team of research analysts functionally reporting to the head of Regional Executive Office

Main Responsibilities

Strategic

  • Lead Macro-economic research covering India's economy, including growth, inflation, fiscal and monetary policy, external sectors, structural reforms etc.
  • Drive analysis of daily macroeconomic data flow via providing both real-time data assessments as well as identifying and modeling medium-term trends.
