**Editorial Assistant - Grade B2**

**In this role, you will support Pearson editors managing various IT professional disciplines. The job will entail working with internal and external stakeholders on administrative and editorial tasks, maintain data integrity, and support editorial efforts.**
**Key Responsibilities**
These responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
**Assist with Purchase orders and invoicing**
Purchase Order Management - Create, review, and process POs while ensuring accuracy and compliance for contracted work
Invoice Processing - Verify, match, and process invoices, resolving any discrepancies.
Vendor Coordination - Communicate with vendors for timely invoice receipt and issue resolution.
System & Compliance Management - Utilize company systems to track transactions and ensure policy compliance.
Reporting & Collaboration - Maintain records, generate reports, and coordinate with finance and procurement teams.
**Supporting the Projects/List**
Learn and navigate Pearson Business Systems to manage project creation and the ISBN request process.
Gain proficiency with AI tools to support editorial initiatives.
Assist in creating quizzes to enhance digital products.
Collaborate with teams to streamline workflows and improve content quality
Support editorial tasks as assigned by your manager and actively participate in additional editorial responsibilities.

**Responsibilities**:
1. Be responsible for market research by collecting expert data. Develop new STEM-related research journals.

2. Manage the online publication process for journal articles and be responsible for market research.

3. Identify high-value topics for special issues and commission qualified guest editors to organize paper invitations /call-for-papers to agreed publication timelines.

4. Maintain continuous quality control, monitoring all aspects of day-to-day editorial; production and publishing operations; actively address improvements where required.

5. Develop and maintain positive collaborative relationships with existing/potential authors, Editorial Board members and reviewers.

6. To assist the Editors in proofreading journal articles, and checking manuscripts.

7. Should be able to team up with authors, editors and reviewers to implement editorial campaigns.

8. Liaise with editors and reviewers for the editorial process.

9. Checks the accuracy of manuscripts before publishing journal articles online.

**Requirements**:

- University degree in sciences / any discipline.
- Prior experience in publishing is an added advantage.
- Ability in managing multiple journals simultaneously amid tight deadlines.
- Proven ability to work independently as well as in a team.
- Diligent and self-motivated, with good commercial sense.
- Should know Microsoft office (MS Word, Excel, etc.)
- Organized, meticulous and able to prioritize.

- Writing scripts for animated and educational short films on topics from history, geography, culture, politics, entertainment and business among others as part of complete education modules and writing assessments and challenges such as MCQs and puzzles among others.
