Gracenote is the top provider of entertainment information, creating industry-leading databases of TV, movie, and music metadata for entertainment guides, applications and in-car entertainment. We are the leading supplier of TV and Movie entertainment data. We supply data to leading entertainment platforms and devices. ROLE: The Editorial Senior works with the local Editorial team, supporting their team to produce the international database. They will often act as a replacement for the team lead on a day-to-day basis. The Senior Editor, Editorial is expected to coordinate and lead the editorial team workflow, providing effective guidance on a day-to-day basis. You will develop a deep understanding of global systems and be responsible for regularly supervising and providing workflow support to team members.As a Senior Editor, you will be the contact point for the editorial team members, so your communication skills should be excellent. You should also be able to act proactively to ensure smooth team operations and effective collaboration. The Editors research, gather and process TV series and movies from studios, distributors, websites and related sources in a timely and accurate manner for entry into an internal database. Communication with broadcasters, content providers and other internal teams will be expected to secure all necessary editorial requirements. Ultimately, you should support the team by setting a good example and engaging the editorial team to achieve the goals set out by the business.

Responsibilities

  • Daily support of Editorial team lead, overseeing the Editorial Workflow and assignments.
  • Support Editorial Team in the processing and creation of the database, into our international data management system.
  • Resolve and investigate workflow efficiencies and issues with the team lead.
  • Running quality check reports over databases as required.
  • Coordination of creation and maintenance of wiki documentation.
  • Often will be a key member of projects to improve the efficiency of tools and workflows before their implementation within the greater team to test, provide feedback and document.
  • Represent Gracenote to international Gracenote teams, external clients and stakeholders.
  • Qualification & Skills

  • A thorough understanding of metadata and its applications.
  • Good professional English language both written and spoken.

  • Proven DDQ/RFP writing, editing, proof reading and analytical skills;
  • Strong written English and application of grammar- ;
  • Good communicator: mature approach to stakeholder engagement and building effective working relationships within the firm;
