**Key Responsibilities**

The Healthcare Integration Specialist will design, develop, and maintain interoperability solutions between Epic EHR and Netsmart EHR platforms through Health Information Exchange (HIE).
This role involves working with Epic Care Everywhere, Netsmart CareConnect, and related integration services that enable secure, real-time data exchange between care providers, referral networks, and partner systems.
You will also configure and test healthcare data exchange workflows to exchange HL7 messages between Healthcare Organizations via HIE (Health Information Exchange).
This is an Integration and development role based in Chennai, India collaborating closely with US client teams in the behavioral healthcare domain.
· Design, develop, and support HL7 v2.x / v3-based interfaces enabling data exchange between Epic Care Everywhere and Netsmart CareConnect systems.
· Work within Health Information Exchange (HIE) environments to ensure accurate, secure, and compliant data interoperability.
· Configure and develop integrations using Epic Care Everywhere and Netsmart CareConnect.
· Collaborate on integration workflows for 360X (360 Exchange) Closed-Loop Referrals use cases supporting behavioral health and care coordination.
· Map, transform, and validate clinical and administrative data across EHR systems.
· Develop reusable interface templates and maintain version-controlled integration assets.
· Collaborate with client-side Epic and Netsmart technical teams to ensure accurate implementation of interface specifications.
· Perform testing, debugging, and monitoring of live integrations to ensure reliability and performance.
· Ensure compliance with HIPAA, HITECH, and US healthcare data interoperability standards.
· 3 to 4 years of hands-on experience in EHR integration and healthcare interoperability projects.
· Working experience with Epic EHR, Epic Care Everywhere, Netsmart EHR, and Netsmart CareConnect.
· Experience working with Health Information Exchange (HIE) frameworks.
· Proficiency in HL7 v2.x, CCD/CDA, and RESTful API-based integration.
