About The Role

We are looking for a highly experienced ElasticSearch Engineer with a strong background in designing and optimizing search systems at scale, particularly within eCommerce or marketplace environments . This is an ideal role for engineers who thrive on building performant, intelligent search experiences that power real-time decision-making. If you're passionate about semantic search, relevance tuning, and large-scale search infrastructure, we want to hear from you!


What You Will Do

  • Architect, implement, and optimize ElasticSearch solutions for our AI-driven procurement platform.
  • Design and maintain scalable search infrastructure to support complex querying across dynamic datasets.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate search features into the product, including faceted search, autocomplete, and semantic search.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve search performance, accuracy, and latency.
  • Evaluate and implement natural language processing techniques to improve search relevance and contextual understanding.
  • Stay ahead of advancements in search technology, particularly in vector search and semantic search models.


What You Will Need

  • 3+ years of hands-on ElasticSearch experience, especially in production systems for eCommerce or online marketplaces .
  • Strong understanding of search architecture, including indexing strategies, analyzers, tokenization, and ranking algorithms.
  • Experience integrating ElasticSearch into distributed systems at scale.
  • Solid programming experience with Python and/or JavaScript.
  • Proficiency with Docker and containerized deployments.
  • Experience with semantic search, NLP, or vector embeddings is a strong plus .
  • English or Spanish proficiency at C1 or C2 level, both written and spoken.
  • Availability to work in US East Coast time zone.
  • Ownership mentality and strong problem-solving skills—comfortable driving features from design to production with minimal oversight.

As a Data Analyst, you will be working on data profiling, data cleansing, data quality monitoring, and root cause analysis which includes:

  • Take full responsibility for data.ai core intelligence data quality
  • Deep understanding of the data structure and relationship in a large, complex dataset
  • Own the data monitoring activities and develop automated and reusable quality monitoring and improvement solutions to secure our daily data quality
  • Work at the front line to troubleshoot quickly and efficiently when an issue arises
  • Identify and implement improvements to monitoring and data quality control
  • Perform in-depth analysis of the product quality and provide strong support to the stakeholders such as product managers and data scientists
  • Understand the end-to-end data pipeline and the methodology and improve it together with data scientists and the data modeling team

  • 2+ years of working experience in data quality or data analysis
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or equivalent practical experience
  • Experience with Databricks environment
  • Proficient in SQL, Python, R, or similar data analytic tools
  • Experience in statistical measurement design, quantitative data analysis, data query, data processing, and visualization
  • Experience in Big Data or BI solutions is a big plus
  • Excellent problem-solving skills including analyzing problems and stories hidden by huge amounts of data
  • Being flexible to multitask and reprioritize tasks quickly based on the project needs
  • An ability to work both independently and as part of a remote team to locate the root cause and come up with solutions
  • Strong presentation and communication skills. Feel comfortable explaining the issues and solutions from analysis to the stakeholders from a wide variety of backgrounds, e.g. product managers, data scientists, and engineering, etc.
