Job Purpose :
This position in Vendor Development is accountable for the development of Al Forgings & Machined components for EV New products, adhering to Cost, Quality and timeline targets
Key Responsibility :
- Strong Techno-Commercial knowledge in Al Forgings & Machined components
- Strong expertise in the Aluminum Forging process, proven out and Forging Die Design knowledge
- Collaborate with CFT/Suppliers to understand the product requirements and specifications
- Early involvement with the Product and Process Development team for optimized design, process and cost
- To identify competitive and potential suppliers
- Familiar in purchasing and legal processes like NDA, RFQ, GPA, SWA, LTA, PR, PO/LOI etc.,
- Thorough Process knowledge in Al Forging & Machining, including Tools, Dies, Fixtures, Gauges etc.,
- Familiar with ZBC, Productivity improvement, VA/VE, YoY Cost Reduction
- Strong Negotiation skills
- Familiar with Material Grades, Heat Treatment processes, Surface treatments, Automotive standards etc.,
- Familiar with QMS, GD&T, Product and Process Feasibility, DFM/DFA, PPAP etc.,
- Closely work with CFT/Suppliers to ensure on-time development of parts with First Time Right
- To conduct at the supplier end and build adequate capacity with suppliers
- To manage the Engineering Changes and costs effectively
- To implement Continuous Improvements internally & at the supplier end
Education :
Bachelor's degree in Electrical/ Automobile or equivalent
Experience :
4+ years of hands-on experience in the Aluminum forging industry
Experience in the Automotive industry is mandatory
Experience in SAP, PLM is mandatory
