ROLE DESCRIPTION / PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supervise and direct the work of electrical maintenance technicians, providing technical guidance and support.
• Develop and implement comprehensive preventive and predictive maintenance programs for electrical equipment, including motors, generators, switchgear, transformers, and control systems.
• Respond promptly to electrical system failures and emergencies, ensuring swift and effective troubleshooting and repairs.
• Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of new electrical equipment and systems.
• Ensure all electrical maintenance activities are performed in compliance with safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
• Conduct regular inspections of electrical systems and equipment to identify potential issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Manage the maintenance schedule, allocate resources efficiently, and prioritize work orders.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment history, and spare parts inventory.
• Prepare maintenance reports, analyze equipment performance data, and recommend improvements to enhance reliability and reduce downtime.
• Ensure the availability and proper storage of spare parts and consumables.
• Train and mentor junior maintenance staff, fostering skill development and adherence to best practices.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as production and engineering, to ensure minimal disruption to operations.

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including high voltage and low voltage equipment, motors, VFDs, PLCs, and control panels.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical faults and implementing effective repair solutions.
• Familiarity with safety standards such as IE3 Standards and relevant Indian electrical regulations.
• Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) is a plus.

You’ll be based on high-end projects like the Jolie Apartments in Jolimont, leading a team across retail, education, healthcare, and multi-storey developments.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all on-site electrical works on commercial builds (up to 10 employees on site)

• Manage safety on site including toolbox talks, SWMS reviews, and pre-starts

• Work closely with PMs, builders, and consultants to ensure smooth project delivery

• Track site progress, manage schedules, and maintain documentation

• Handle materials, deliveries, and equipment on site

• Be prepared to work on the tools when required

What we’re looking for

• A-Grade WA Electrical Licence

• 5+ years in electrical construction, including 2+ years in a site supervisory role

• Familiar with AS/NZS 3000 and relevant codes

• Strong leadership, organisation, and communication skills
