  • The incumbent is responsible to design in his core domain as per approved model strategy state of art engines and technologies, further improve existing products and components, support the team engagement in engine technology and research related activities and ensures delivery within CTQ parameters.
  • The incumbent is responsible to ensure alignment and integration of all simulation and analysis results in his designs as well as review of designs based on actual testing results and a constant dialog with manufacturing and assembly.
  • Desired Skill Sets:

  • Solid internal combustion engine background
  • Design of crankshaft, con rod, piston, bearing, valve train, rocker shaft, cam train, balancer system, air intake system, Muffler, transmission, shift system design, starter system, radiator, chain &tensioner system, oil seals, clutch, throttle body, crankcase, cover, cylinder head, cylinder block, cylinder block, CVT system.
  • Engine layouting.
  • Hands on expertise in design tools (CATIA, Proe, KISSOFT, Romax,CRUISE) (Any of the keywords)

  • Proven record of (substantial) work on gasoline and 2 wheeler engines

    Interface with aerospace suppliers and certification bodies.

    Qualifications:
    Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
    3–7 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in aerospace test systems.
    Proficiency in CAD tools (CATIA V5, AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
    Knowledge in FEA tools (ANSYS, NASTRAN, Abaqus).
    Knowledge of aerospace materials, manufacturing processes, and tolerances.
    Familiarity with aerospace instrumentation and testing standards.
    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    Excellent communication and documentation skills.

    Preferred Skills:
    Experience with propulsion system test benches or environmental simulation chambers.
    Exposure to cable harness and its different connectors and data analysis.
    Exposure to the Electromechanical component and design / modify a Test bench
    Understanding of aerospace certification, qualification, and audit processes.
    Knowledge in vibration, thermal, and fatigue test setup and testing.
