- Take ownership of the project and work independently in a collaborative environment.

- Establish security measures for safeguarding private data, including encryption and access controls, and conduct routine database audits to find any possible vulnerabilities.
- Consistently monitors database performance and identifies bottlenecks that may impact the application's performance and responsiveness.
- Develop and oversee a strategy for disaster recovery (DRM) to protect prevent data loss in the event of disasters or system failures.

- Proficient in the principles of database design, including managing of high-volume instances of Azure SQL configurations that feature high availability, including the use of database performance optimization and monitoring tools.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, enabling the rapid identification of the root cause of a problem.
- Proficiency in creating best practice policies and procedures for data security and integrity, along with the monitoring and restriction of database access.

Infinite Consulting is seeking Lead Data Engineers for our esteemed Federal Government Client. This is a July start for a 12 month initial contract – 2x6 months further extensions possible based on funding and approval.

About the Role:

You will join a well-established team specialising in data innovation, data solutions and cloud platform development.

• As the Lead Data Engineer, you will lead data projects and work closely with key stakeholders to create solutions for business problems.
• You will be responsible to design and develop Azure-based data and analytic solutions and platforms.

Essential criteria

• 3+ years of experience in Data Development;
• Perform detail design based on high level architecture; Experience in detailed design for data integration on Azure cloud data services including ADLS, SQL DB, data lake Synapse and blob storage;
• Solid experience developing complex ETLs based on SSIS and customised coding C#, .net or vb.net Development experience with Power BI (stored procedure, DAX, functions, views);
• Proficient with Azure data factory and Azure Event Hub; Strong understanding of DevOps or other version control system;
• Experience working in an Agile environment Exceptional communication skills including written and oral skills.

Should have led large transformation programs and accounts

At least 1 Certification in program management (PMI, Prince2) or Scrum Certifications/ safe agilist etc.

Has prior experience in setting up centers of excellence in Insurance packaged products (Guidewire etc. )

Strong and inspirational leadership with focus on domain led technical delivery excellence.

Grow and sustain large, high-performing teams; specialization in Guidewire with strong familiarity of market landscape

Must have the ability to engage with client executive leadership, lead large pursuits and take end to end ownership of deal making
