This is the team which builds reusable technologies that aid in acquiring customers, onboarding and empowering merchants besides ensuring a seamless experience for both these stakeholders. We also optimize tariffs and assortment, adhering to the Walmart philosophy - Everyday Low Cost. In addition to ushering in affordability, we also create personalized experiences for customers the omnichannel way, across all channels - in-store, on the mobile app and websites.


Marketplace is the gateway to domestic and international Third-Party sellers;
we enable them to manage their end-to-end onboarding, catalog management, order fulfilment, return ;
refund management. Our team is responsible for design, development, and operations of large-scale distributed systems by leveraging cutting-edge technologies in web/mobile, cloud, big data ;
AI/ML. We interact withmultiple teams across the company to provide scalable robust technical solutions.


What you'll do:

As Senior Engineering Manager you would be responsible to:

  • Understand Marketplace problems, through direct communication with product/business, by analysing data, and by working with other engineering/business/program/product stakeholders.
  • Help define the technical roadmap to solve the business and product problems by building solutions as multi-tenant, scalable and extensible platform approach.
  • Own the entire product delivery end to end.
  • Work very closely with various business stakeholders to drive the execution of multiple business plans and technologies
  • Responsible for leading one or more distributed scrum teams and accountable for their deliverables
  • Work with senior leadership to chart out the future roadmap of the products
  • Interact closely for requirements with Business owners and technical teams both within India and across the globe.
  • Improve, optimize and identify opportunities for efficient software development processes
  • Hire, Develop and Retain a strong team of high performing engineers
  • Work closely with cross geo teams within Walmart.


What you'll bring:

  • An Engineering Degree - B.E/B.Tech/MS/MCA/PhD in any stream Computer Science preferred.
  • 14+ years of relevant experience in building highly resilient, highly scalable systems
  • 4+ years of leadership/management experience with a team of 10+ members, with experience of senior/lead engineers in the team.
  • A good understanding of CS Fundamentals, Data Structures, Algorithms ;
    Problem Solving
  • Hands on experience with Java ( must to have), Nodejs or Python, Cloud ( AWS, Azure ), DevOps CICD tools, relational DBMS ( MySQL, Oracle etc ) ;
    non-relational DBMS ( MongoDB, CosmosDB etc ) with big data technologies ( Kafka, Spark, Airflow etc ).
  • Understand the product and project management space with Agile methodologies.
  • Experience across the product development SDLC
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills including negotiation, facilitation, and consensus building skills;
    ability to influence and persuade.
  • Ability to balance the long-term "big picture" and short term implications of design decisions.
  • Strong hands on development skills to prototype technical solutions.
  • Strong desire to drive change, innovate and ability to adapt to change quickly.
  • Proficient in new and emerging technologies.
  • Exposure to cloud infrastructures, such as Open Stack, Azure, GCP, or AWS

The role of Associate Engineering Director at MEIC will focus on Neuromodulation & Pelvic Health Operating Unit (NM-PH OU) Software R&D efforts at Hyderabad. NM-PH OU is committed to excellence in innovation and commercialization to pursue our vision and long-term business growth.

**Title and Summary**
MLOps Engineering Director
The Security Solutions Data Science team is responsible for creating Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) models backing its flagship product. The models generated are production ready and created to back specific products in Mastercard's authentication and authorization networks. The Data Science team is also responsible for developing automated processes for creating models covering all modeling steps, from data extraction up to delivery. In addition, the processes must be designed to scale, to be repeatable, resilient, and industrialized.
Services within Mastercard is responsible for acquiring, engaging, and retaining customers by managing fraud and risk, enhancing cybersecurity, and improving the digital payments experience. We provide value-added services and leverage expertise, data-driven insights, and execution.
You will be joining a team of Data Scientists and engineers working on innovative AI and ML fraud detection. Our innovative cross-channel AI solutions are applied in Fortune 500 companies in industries such as fin-tech and payments processing. We are pursuing a highly motivated individual with strong problem-solving skills to take on the challenge of structuring and engineering data and cutting-edge AI model evaluation and reporting processes.
As a Director, MLOps Engineer, you will:
- Oversee the administration of Databricks clusters and workspaces.
- Bring MLOps expertise to the table, namely within the scope of, but not limited to:
o Model monitoring
o Feature catalog
o Experiment Tracking
o CI/CD pipelines to gatekeep model lifecycle from development to production
- Own and maintain MLOps solutions either by leveraging open-sourced solutions or with a 3rd party vendor
- Build and maintain various executive dashboards that reflect metrics, model build, deploy, and run phases
- Manage a team of MLOps engineers
(All About You)
- Master's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a similar field. 
- Strong experience with Databricks and ability to architect scalable DE pipelines. Strong experience with Spark
- Experience in cloud technologies and operations
- Experience supporting API's and Cloud technologies
- Experience with MLOps solutions like MLFlow, Comet, WandB, or other similar frameworks
- Experience with performing data analysis, data observability, data ingestion and data integration. 
- Solid DevOps, SRE, or general systems engineering experience. 
- Hands-on experience in industry standard CI/CD tools like Git/BitBucket, Jenkins, Maven, Artifactory, and Chef. 
- Experience architecting and implementing data governance processes and tooling (such as data catalogs, lineage tools, role-based access control, PII handling) 
- Strong coding ability in Python or other languages like Java, and C++, plus a solid grasp of SQL fundamentals 
Systematic problem-solving approach, coupled with strong communication skills and a sense of ownership and drive.

- SQL tuning experience. 
- Strong automation experience
- Strong Data Observability experience. 
- Operations experience in supporting highly scalable systems. 
- Self-Motivating and creatively solves software problems and effectively keep the lights on for modeling systems.
