You will be responsible for developing and implementing reservoir management strategies, performing sophisticated reservoir simulations, and providing expert recommendations to exploration and production teams. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of reservoir fluid properties, rock mechanics, and production engineering principles. You will utilize advanced reservoir simulation software to model fluid flow, predict reservoir performance, and evaluate the impact of different development scenarios. Your responsibilities will include reserves estimation, uncertainty analysis, and recommending appropriate recovery enhancement techniques such as EOR (Enhanced Oil Recovery). We are looking for a proactive problem-solver with strong quantitative skills, excellent communication abilities for virtual collaboration, and the capacity to work independently and lead technical discussions. Experience in analyzing complex reservoirs, managing large datasets, and effectively communicating technical insights to both engineering and management teams is essential. Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute detailed reservoir simulation studies to predict performance and optimize recovery.
  • Perform reserves estimation and uncertainty analysis in accordance with industry standards.
  • Evaluate and recommend Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) methods and other production optimization techniques.
  • Analyze production data and well performance to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Conduct economic evaluations of development plans and investment opportunities.
  • Collaborate with geoscientists, production engineers, and management to develop integrated field development plans.
  • Prepare technical reports, presentations, and recommendations for management.
  • Stay current with advances in reservoir engineering technologies and methodologies.
  • Mentor junior engineers and share technical expertise.
  • Contribute to strategic planning for hydrocarbon resource management.
Qualifications:
  • Master's or Ph.D. in Petroleum Engineering, Reservoir Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in reservoir engineering, with a strong focus on simulation and reservoir management.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard reservoir simulation software (e.g., ECLIPSE, INTERSECT, CMG).
  • Strong understanding of reservoir characterization, fluid dynamics, and petrophysics.
  • Experience with reserves reporting standards (e.g., SEC, SPE-PRMS).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying complex technical concepts.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.
  • Experience with advanced analytical techniques and data science applications in reservoir engineering is a plus.
