The Engineering Systems Tools team at eBay builds and operates the internal tooling and infrastructure that supports thousands of developers across the company. Our mission is to enhance developer efficiency through automation, self-service platforms, and seamless provisioning.
We support and extend core platforms including JIRA, Confluence, GitHub Enterprise, Artifactory, SonarQube, Gradle, and Airtable, while building and maintaining custom applications tailored to internal engineering workflows.
On the infrastructure side, we operate across multi-cloud environments (GCP, AWS, Azure), and are actively investing in container orchestration (Kubernetes), infrastructure-as-code, and service automation to modernize our stack. What You'll Do:
Design, build, and maintain full-stack internal tooling and platforms that improve engineering productivity and automation.

Operate and scale cloud-based infrastructure across GCP, AWS, and Azure; contribute to infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and monitoring.
Implement and support Kubernetes-based containerization workflows, including service deployment and resource optimization.
Automate infrastructure and operations using tools like Terraform, Helm, and CI/CD pipelines.
Own the full lifecycle of systems—from requirements gathering to deployment and post-release support.
Troubleshoot performance and reliability issues across the stack and work on platform hardening.
Collaborate with product owners, site reliability engineers, and developers to continuously improve platform usability and reliability.
Contribute to architectural decisions, technical design reviews, and code reviews; mentor junior team members where applicable.
Preferred Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in software engineering and platform operations in a large-scale or enterprise environment.
Strong programming skills in Java (preferred), with experience in Spring Boot or similar frameworks. Bonus for front-end experience (React, Angular, or similar).
Experience designing, deploying, and managing applications in Kubernetes and Dockerized environments.
Solid background in multi-cloud architecture and automation across GCP, AWS, or Azure.

The Engineering Systems Global Operations Leader will be responsible for providing global leadership in planning, organizing, and coordinating the day-to-day operations of the Engineering Develpment and infrastructure Environments. The Engineering Systems Global Operations Leader will be responsible for providing global leadership in planning, organizing, and coordinating the day-to-day operations of the Engineering Develpment and infrastructure Environments. This includes overseeing all aspects of engineering system management, maintenance, and upgrades across multiple sites globally. The role involves working closely with cross functional teams, site leadership to ensure smooth functioning of engineering systems, infrastructure services, minimize downtime, and enhance operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
Provide strategic leadership for global operations supporting engineering systems, used in software development, integration, testing, infrastructure operations and related environments.
Partner with site leaders and designated SPOCs to design and implement standardized operating procedures, policies, and best practices for engineering infrastructure.
Ensure the reliability, performance, and security of engineering platforms across all global locations.
Track and analyze key performance indicators for engineering systems, identifying opportunities for optimization and implementing necessary improvements.
Collaborate closely with engineering, QA, DevOps, and cybersecurity teams to align infrastructure with development pipelines and regulatory compliance.
Drive global standardization and automation initiatives to enhance operational consistency and efficiency.
Oversee system monitoring, incident management, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement efforts.
Manage vendor engagements, including licensing agreements and service level commitments for engineering tools and environments.
Lead a globally distributed team from partner organizations, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous learning.
Develop and manage operational budgets, conduct capacity planning, and define long-term infrastructure strategies.
Ensure adherence to global security standards and data protection regulations.
Promote a safe and compliant work environment by upholding safety protocols and environmental guidelines.
Maintain clear and consistent communication with stakeholders at all levels, providing updates on key initiatives and system performance.
Work cross-functionally to streamline engineering processes and optimize workflows for greater agility and productivity.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in relevant engineering streams or equivalent. Master's degree preferred.
Proven experience (15+ years) in managing engineering systems, infrastructure in a large, multi-site organization.
Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions under pressure.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex technical information to non-technical audiences.
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and provide clear direction to team members.
Project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage resources efficiently.
Knowledge of lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
Ability to travel occasionally, as required.

JOB TITLE: Senior Analyst – Engineering systems
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for developing and maintaining detailed work processes for SPF.
- Responsible for SPF integration with other engineering systems and non-engineering systems as required as part of the development applications (Hexagon & In house).
- Translating the Requirement Specifications into automation using the best practices defined by Hexagon and Petrofac QMS (Quality Management System).
