**Core responsibilities of this job:**
As a Sr. Engineering Manager, you'll take the lead as you
+ Drive product development and operations with lead engineers and drive technical decision making, adhering to Target platform architecture and other enterprise decisions.
+ You'll have a strong focus on team management and development, equal focus will be on writing production code and hands on active development of the capabilities and solutions.
+ Assist in Target-internal technical platform usage and drive resolution of technology roadblocks including code, infrastructure, build and deployment and managing overall software development cycle by adhering to development and security standards.

**About you:**
+ 4-year degree or equivalent experience
+ 7+ years of experience in software development and team management

+ Possesses a strong understanding of systems programming and control languages as required by your domain. Has demonstrated success in solving complex technical problems in more than one technical or functional areas

**Qualifications**
Required Qualifications:

+ Familiarity with modern distributed software design patterns and cloud systems architecture, including microservices, containers, load balancing, queuing, caching.

We are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead a section within the Electrical systems division as a part of the Electrical Center of Excellence in the Cat technology. As a first-line manager, the incumbent will provide leadership to a section primarily focused on Electro mechanical Design, Electrical system /Integration, Wiring harness Design, development.
As an Engineering Manager, you will lead and support a workgroup to foster collaboration internally and with external partners, ensuring project goals are met. You will cultivate a culture of innovation and commitment, managing a budget of up to $1.5M and overseeing at least 25 employees. Responsibilities include developing electrical systems and electro-mechanical components new Caterpillar products.
**Specific responsibilities include:**

1. 6 Sigma Black belt experience.

Install, maintain, perform preventative maintenance on, and recommend replacement of tools, appliances, and equipment.
