About the role

We currently have opportunities for Enviromental Services Assistants to join our team. The successful candidates will become involved in many areas of the hospital with the overall aim of maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness throughout the building and all areas within the hospital.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Provide high standard of housekeeping services
  • Operate in line with infection control standards and WHS policy & procedures
  • Deliver excellent customer service to staff, clients and patients
  • Provide flexibility to work early or late shifts and weekend work

The Facilities Maintenance Worker will perform general maintenance and repairs for assigned equipment and facilities including plumbing, electrical, basic carpentry, heating and cooling, and other building systems. 

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Inspects and identifies equipment or machines in need of repair.
  • Troubleshoots issues to determine necessary repairs.
  • Plans repair work using building’s blueprints or equipment manual as needed.
  • Performs general repairs that do not require a specialized technician. Examples may include repairing drywall, painting, and repairing doors and other building fixtures.
  • Performs routine maintenance on building systems.
  • Cleans and assists with upkeep of the facilities.
  • Orders supplies and materials needed for repairs and maintenance.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to follow instructions from supervisors or senior maintenance workers.
  • Knowledge of general carpentry and repair.
  • Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Related experience preferred.
  • On-the-job training offered.
  • Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods standing and walking.
  • Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.

IFC typically plays the role of lead advisor in PPP transactions, working closely with public clients, managing external consultants, and applying the same standards it applies to its own portfolio. IFC has significant number of active PPP advisory projects in the South Asia Region, requiring Environmental and Social (E&S) support. IFC South Asia Region E&S team is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented professional with experience in assessing E&S risks of infrastructure and service projects in the region, from an early stage and with limited information, and assisting public and private sector clients in Environmental and Social Impact Assessment and Environmental and Social Due Diligence for infrastructure and service projects. The candidate will need strong communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills to join the South Asia team and support the IFC PPP Advisory Services business in the region. The position will report to the ESG Regional Manager for the South Asia region.Roles and Responsibilities • Identify key E&S risks associated with PPP projects against the requirements of IFC’s Performance Standards. • Prepare internal E&S documentation to enable IFC’s decision making and attend internal meetings • Undertake site visits and meet with IFC PPP clients and other relevant public entities.
