About the Role
Work as Subject matter expert (SEM) for global sites in India, UK, NA and Canada to ensure compliance with all environmental regulations and standards. Oversee water and wastewater management, drive environmental governance, and support sustainability initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Extend environmental support to sites as needed to maintain compliance and performance standards.
- Responsible for Environmental functions across global sites.
- Knowledge of ZLD operations & Functions.
- Ensure effective operations of ZLD/ETP across sites.
- Responsible for application of Environmental laws and ensure Environmental compliance at sites.
- Plan, coordinate & facilitate the statutory approvals regarding Environment & Forest.
- Oversee water and wastewater management systems at the sites across globe, ensuring operational efficiency and compliance.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant local and International environmental regulations and standards.
- Develop and implement the environmental safeguard as envisaged in EIA / EMP / Recommendations by statutory authorities.
- Develop relation/Liaison with TSPCB/CPCB/MoEF and other regulatory authorities.
- Drive environmental governance processes to monitor site performance and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Support sustainability programs by implementing site-specific energy efficiency and GHG reduction initiatives.
- Lead the site’s water stewardship program in collaboration with central EHS team, for conducting audits and implementing water conservation micro-projects.
- Drive effective waste management practices for both hazardous and non-hazardous materials.
- Act as the point of contact for regulatory bodies and ensure inspection readiness.
Qualifications
- Bachelors in Engineering/ Masters in Environmental sciences/chemistry.
- Experience: 15-20 years.
- 15+ years of experience in Environmental operations and technology selection and compliance, resolving technical operational issues related to Environment, out of which exposure on equipment selection and consultancy on Environmental matters is desired.
- Functional experience in ZLD/ETP operations.
- Environmental laws and ensure Environmental compliance.
