We are seeking a skilled Graduate Mechanical Reliability Engineer & Graduate Automation Engineer to join a leading Pharmaceutical Manufacturing company based in the South East of Melbourne. You will have:

Job Summary:
We have an immediate opening in the Post Silicon Physical Layer Electrical Validation team at Cadence Design Systems Bangalore, for the post of "Design Engineering Manager".
The responsibility entails leading pre silicon Physical Layer Electrical Validation infrastructure development as well as post silicon validation efforts primarily on Cadence's High Speed SERDES Test chips, ie, activities involving (but not limited to) designing the hardware and software architecture required to test the test chips (be it the test PCBs, controlling FPGA platforms, Labview/python automation for controlling the HW etc), defining test plans for rigorously testing the compliance of the Test chips to the Physical Layer Electrical specifications, implementing these tests as planned, generating high quality test reports based on the test results etc.
What we are looking for in potential candidates is listed below.
Minimum Qualifications:
+ 6-10 years (with Btech) or 4-8 years (with Mtech) of experience in Post-Silicon Physical Layer Electrical Validation
+ Deep Physical Layer electrical validation experience on AT LEAST ONE High speed SERDES protocol like PCIe, USB, DP, ethernet, SRIO, JESD204, DDRIO etc
+ Strong hands on Experience in using lab equipment such as Oscilloscopes, Network Analyzer, Bit Error Rate Tester (BERT) etc
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Experience managing small teams (at least 2 members and above)
+ Experience leading the complete post silicon validation efforts for at least one full project
+ 1-2 years of experience in FPGA Design, PCB schematic and layout design & Prototyping
+ Pre-Silicon IP/SoC Physical Layer Electrical Validation experience related to board bring-up & Debug.
+ Familiarity with Verilog RTL coding, FPGA coding, Labview, python, C/C++, TCL
+ Experience conducting hiring interviews and mentoring new hires
+ Candidates are expected to be passionate about analog and digital electronic circuit design aspects as well as signal processing related aspects.

Job Description
Purpose/Scope of Position
The Project Engineer (PE) will be part of an engineering stream providing engineering services to large and small projects. The PE provides support to the Project Manager (PM) and Engineering Manager (EM) and is responsible for supervising a team of working engineers and designers. The PE provides leadership and assists in the resolution of all technical issues related to the discipline.
Experience
- 10+ years of experience in relevant design discipline
- Experience in engineering and package coordination
Qualification
- Postgraduate or graduate in an engineering discipline
- Registration as a professional engineer with the governing authority (preferable)
Key Responsibilities
A) Air Conditioning System:
- Calculations:
- Heat load calculations using Carrier E 20, Hourly load profile, HEVACOMP
- Static pressure calculations
- Pump Head calculations
- Air conditioning system selection, development of scheme, BOQ, and cost estimation
- HVAC Input/Output data and analysis of data
- Listing out input data/requirements for carrying out Heat Load calculations, design, and development
- Applications:
- MCC Room, Control Room, UPS/Battery room, Admin Block, Technical Buildings, Laboratory, Industrial projects, Chemical Plants, Petrochemical Plants
- Awareness with Indian codes and international codes and standards
- Awareness of types of air conditioning systems: DX Type, VRF Type, Chillers, their capacities, sizes, selection criteria, connected load, civil load data, operational and maintenance space requirement, cost data
- Awareness of different types of refrigeration plants, types of different refrigerants, availability, and cost estimation
- Development of Drawings, BOQ, Cost Estimation:
- Development of air flow diagram/schematic drawings, layout drawings (Plan, Section), plant room layout drawings (PAC, chilled water plant), chilled water and cooling water flow diagrams/PID, piping layout, BOQ, cost estimation, clash detection with regard to other services, structural members, review of integrated services layout
- Enquiry, TBA:
- Preparation of enquiry document, with project scope, technical specifications, data sheets, price schedule
- Review, analysis of offers, technical tabulation of offers and sending queries to bidders, receipt of revised offers, preparing recommendations
- KOM with Selected Vendor:
- Drawing and document review, integration of comments of all applicable disciplines
- Coordinate with Civil for equipment foundation drawings, wall/slab cut-out drawings
- Review of civil/structural drawings before release for construction for HVAC part, coordination with vendor for approval of drawings and documents, and changes in BOQ/project scope if any
B) Ventilation System:
- Air quantity calculations using Dry Ventilation System and Air Washer system
- Fan/Airwasher selection types of fans including size, load list, civil load data, utility requirement, cost estimate
- Candidate to review and guide a team of 6 engineers working on multiple projects
C) Project Management:
- Understanding of MS Project schedule, critical path, preparation of drawing and document list pertaining to HVAC system
- Participate in design review/project review meetings (for multiple projects) and support in meeting project requirements
- Support in cost and time control
- Development of drawings, BOQ, cost estimation: Development of duct layout drawings (Plan, Section), air flow/schematic diagrams, BOQ, cost estimation, clash detection with regard to other services, structural members, review of integrated services layout
- Review of civil/structural drawings before release for construction (for HVAC part), coordination with vendor for approval of drawings and documents, and changes if any
