As a Tax Analyst, you will support both direct and indirect tax functions, including tax return preparation, audits, tax provisioning, and compliance monitoring across multiple jurisdictions. You will work cross-functionally to ensure accurate reporting and maintain compliance with local tax regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and review corporate income and withholding tax returns for multiple countries/jurisdictions.
- Support tax compliance activities including SOX control execution, deviation reporting, and process improvements.
- Perform tax data gathering and analysis from financial systems or operational teams.
- Validate tax handling of transactions in accordance with local laws through quality checks.
- Assist in tax audits and respond to audit queries with supporting documentation and analysis.
- Participate in and support tax-related projects and initiatives, including transfer pricing and tax provision.
- Analyze sub-ledger reports to assess tax applicability, especially for withholding tax.
- Prepare working papers, reconciliations, and assist with corporate income tax account analysis.
- Provide basic tax consulting and routine advisory support to internal stakeholders.
- Leverage ERP and tax-specific tools for compliance, reporting, and audit readiness.
- MBA (Finance), CA Inter, ICWA, M.Com, or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant tax experience (including CA articleship counted as 1 year).
- Strong knowledge of direct and indirect tax compliance and reporting requirements.
- Experience in handling tax audits, tax accounting, and related systems.
- Proficiency in financial systems, ERP applications (e.g., SAP, Oracle), and tax software.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Exposure to international tax jurisdictions and multi-country compliance.
- Familiarity with transfer pricing and tax provision calculations.
- Experience in handling automation or process improvement projects within tax or finance.
