Our client, a dynamic and rapidly expanding international e-commerce enterprise, is seeking a highly accomplished Senior Operations Manager specializing in Global Logistics to lead their remote operations team. This is a strategic role responsible for overseeing all aspects of the global supply chain, ensuring the efficient and cost-effective movement of goods across international borders. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in managing complex logistics operations, optimizing supply chain processes, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. You will leverage your expertise to enhance delivery times, reduce operational costs, and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategies for global logistics, supply chain management, and transportation optimization.
  • Oversee daily operations of the international logistics network, including freight forwarding, customs clearance, warehousing, and last-mile delivery.
  • Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers (3PLs), carriers, and customs brokers to ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to logistics operations, such as transit times, costs, on-time delivery rates, and inventory accuracy.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service quality.
  • Ensure compliance with all international trade regulations, customs laws, and transportation policies.
  • Develop and manage the logistics budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and financial performance.
  • Lead and mentor a remote team of logistics professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance.
  • Utilize advanced supply chain planning and management software to optimize operations.
  • Collaborate with internal departments, including procurement, sales, and customer service, to align logistics strategies with business objectives.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks within the global supply chain.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in logistics and supply chain management.

Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in global logistics and supply chain management.
  • Proven experience in managing international freight, customs brokerage, and warehousing.
  • Demonstrated success in optimizing supply chain processes and reducing operational costs.
  • Strong understanding of international trade regulations and compliance.
  • Excellent leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in supply chain management software and ERP systems.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, remote work environment and manage diverse teams effectively.
