The Sourcing Manager for the Products and Client Category is part of a category sourcing team, responsible for managing and executing Visa’s sourcing strategy. This includes identifying potential suppliers, analyzing supplier capabilities, negotiating contracts, and ensuring that the suppliers meet the company's business needs.

Partnering with local business units/functions to establish a pro-active and agreed supply chain solutions to deliver increased value to Visa and our Clients, go-to-market efficiency and reduced risk to meet business strategy. The role requires significant external interaction with existing and yet to be identified suppliers. The Sourcing Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring that the company secures the best suppliers for its needs.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Basic Qualifications
•7 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 5 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 4 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications
•Bachelors/Degree or equivalent experience, 8 - 10 years, of solid experience within the financial services industry or payment network and products, spanning the areas of strategic sourcing, category management, commercial management, contract management or procurement management.
•Strong knowledge of financial services retail products, payment cards, loyalty solutions, banking benefits, travel platforms, concierge services and marketing/promotion related to the financial services/retail banking/ payments industry
•Proven track record of successful category management, and execution in a fast-paced environment

The role leads the creation of Product Cost Roadmaps for existing products, aiming to deliver improvements in cost efficiency, quality, and risk mitigation. It actively engages suppliers in BoM RFP processes to secure competitive pricing and comprehensive participation, while conducting Design for Excellence (DfX) activities to enhance overall product value. The PSE facilitates early supplier innovation events to promote collaboration and technical input, working closely with Innovation and Engineering teams to incorporate breakthrough ideas into product design—ultimately optimizing propositions and ensuring maximum value for Philips and its customers.

New Product Development (NPD) and Sourcing Engineer – Frido R&D Team

As a New Product Development (NPD) Engineer, you will be the execution backbone of Frido’s R&D team. Once a product concept is finalized by the Design Team, you will take full ownership of its development—coordinating with vendors, overseeing prototyping, sourcing components, and ensuring manufacturability, quality, and timelines. You’re the bridge between concept and reality.Key Responsibilities Manufacturing Execution

• Convert finalized designs into physical products by developing product and vendor.
• Execute DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFA (Design for Assembly) improvements in collaboration with design and supplier teams.
• Own the complete development lifecycle—from sample builds to production handoff.

Sourcing & Supply Chain Collaboration

• Identify and qualify new suppliers for components, raw materials, and outsourced processes.
• Source long-lead and custom components in alignment with design and manufacturing constraints.
• Collaborate with the sourcing/procurement team to ensure on-time availability of parts for builds.
• Track lead times, manage RFQs (Request for Quotation), and support cost benchmarking across vendors.
• Maintain sourcing documentation including supplier capability matrix, pricing history, and delivery performance logs.

Vendor Coordination

• Identify, evaluate, and manage vendors for prototyping and batch manufacturing.
• Schedule and conduct vendor visits to assess capability, quality systems, and production timelines.
• Negotiate project timelines, costs, MOQs, and drive accountability with vendors.

Prototyping & Iteration

• Lead multiple prototyping cycles until all functional, aesthetic, and durability goals are achieved.
• Document development issues, manage change requests, and update BOMs and drawings accordingly.
• Validate samples through internal testing and targeted user feedback loops.

Project Ownership

• Maintain clear timelines and development trackers for all ongoing product builds.
• Coordinate across management, design, sourcing, and quality teams to ensure smooth execution.
• Proactively escalate risks or delays and propose mitigation plans or alternate paths.

Requirements

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical / Industrial / Product Engineering.
• 1–5 years of hands-on experience in manufacturing, product development, or NPD roles.
• Sound knowledge of manufacturing processes like sheet metal, injection molding, machining, and basic assembly.
• Strong ability to interpret CAD models, engineering drawings, and mechanical tolerances.
• Excellent communication skills with an ownership mindset and strong attention to detail.
