Job Description

The Vistex Professional Development Trainer will work in our Hyderabad, India Office and is responsible for developing, conducting, and assessing training on a variety of professional topics, such as leadership, effective communication, change management, and customer relations.
Primary responsibilities include needs assessment, developing, implementing, and facilitating in-person and virtual training, and program evaluation to support company initiatives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate (in-person and virtual) various professional development trainings, workshops, and programs to support team members at our Hyderabad, India Office and all other Vistex team members globally.
  • Work closely with professional development leadership to develop (presentation, participant guides, and supplemental material) professional development trainings, workshops, and programs to support team members at our Hyderabad, India Office and all other Vistex team members globally.
  • Work closely with professional development leadership and Vistex India leadership to identify professional development opportunities.
  • Develop and implement needs assessments for Vistex India team members, including leadership. Work with professional development leadership and Vistex India leadership to develop and implement professional development initiatives based on needs assessments.
  • Develop methods and tools for collecting data and evaluate the effectiveness of professional development training and activities including preparing reports and recommendations related to improvements.
  • Maintain consistent communication with professional development leadership.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Vistex India team members and leadership.
  • Utilize a broad range of traditional and other approaches such as formal group and individual training, coaching, and mentoring.
  • Coordinate, organize, and promote team member engagement opportunities and activities.
  • Handle related duties as assigned.
  • Travel required (10-30%).

    As a Senior Professional Development Administrator, you'll be a part of the Asia regional Professional Development (PD)  team based out of Bengaluru, India and support a range of professional development activities and initiatives for a group of colleagues within practice cells.     You'll work closely with cell PD leads and support the implementation of core people processes, manage people data and initiatives for your cells.

    You'll work closely with other PD managers and play a key role in supporting a wide range of professional development-related processes and activities, e.g., staffing, onboarding, reviews, and data reporting for your cells. In this context, you will develop and manage dashboards/reports related to the cell and work with the PD Manager to coordinate for setting up team forums/ leadership sessions. You will also be involved in helping drive ongoing community initiatives for your cells in the region.

    You'll work across multiple internal systems to manage and record critical people data that will allow us to accurately capture our consultants’ development journey. This will mean building a strong understanding of tools like iStaffing, TRM, etc.

    You'll have the opportunity to work with a diverse set of colleagues within your practice cells as well as the PD community in the hubs and region. Overtime, this will give you a chance to build your exposure to different capabilities and leaders within the firm.

    • Bachelor or Master’s degree 
    • 5+ years of experience in talent management or professional development, particularly staffing 
    • Experience with human resources (HR) data analysis, data management, administration and report generation
    • Excellent organization capabilities, including the ability to initiate tasks independently and see them through to completion
    • Proficient in rational decision making based on data, facts, and logical reasoning
    • Ability to create work product-focused materials / outputs, which may include PowerPoint decks, Excel models, articles, or other written deliverables

    To be a quality Social Science/Science content developer aligned with organizational philosophy and system needs:
    • Create and curate Social Science or Science–specific educational content, including training session plans, teaching modules, scripts, schema, lesson plans, and other relevant resources for teachers in the government school system.
    • Ensure that all Social Science content is contextualized to the government school environment and supports classroom implementation.
    • Develop content that aligns with educational standards, curriculum requirements, and pedagogical best practices in Social Science/Science.
    • Conduct thorough subject-specific research to ensure accuracy, relevance, and alignment with current educational trends and practices in Social Science/Science education.
    • Analyze teacher and student needs as well as feedback to refine and improve the quality of Social Science/Science content.
    Strategizing and planning the key interventions under Teachers’ Capacity Building:
    • Design and strategize comprehensive teacher capacity-building interventions in Social Science/Science, including in-person and virtual workshops, training sessions, and professional development initiatives, tailored to address identified gaps and enhance classroom effectiveness.
    • Stay updated on the latest trends, resources, and pedagogical innovations in Social Science/Science education and apply innovative approaches to enhance teacher engagement and learning outcomes.
    • Create documented reports of project/training implementations, design forms, and prepare decks for Social Science/Science–related events and training.
    • Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to institutionalize processes and ensure the quality of Social Science/Science interventions.
    • Codify best practices and case studies in Social Science/Science teaching to ensure knowledge management and sharing within the organisation and with the wider sector.
    To be a strong team collaborator and engage with key government stakeholders:
    • Work closely with senior government stakeholders, academic teams, and teacher trainers to design, develop, and implement Social Science/Science–related projects/interventions.
    • Develop and maintain strong operational relationships with government partners, providing technical and subject matter leadership in Social Science/Science.
    • Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of the Indian K-12 Social Science/Science curriculum and classroom realities in interactions with stakeholders (e.g., Government counterparts).
    To ensure the quality of large-scale implementation with a focus on impact:
    • Develop systems to deliver agreed-upon Social Science/Science content and training outputs, with ownership for specific tasks, effective use of data, and clear communication across the programme.

    Requirements

    • Educational Background: A relevant educational background in Education with a strong understanding of Classroom Pedagogy and educational perspective is a must. Additional knowledge in Social Science, Science, Social Work or Public Policy, or other related fields is an advantage.  

    • Work Experience: We value both professional and personal experience. Candidates should have 2-4 years of experience in the education sector, including at least 1yr year of classroom teaching experience in either Social Science or Science. The experience should include working in the implementation of educational initiatives in India with an understanding of the challenges of teachers and education system(s).  

    • Other Skills : Strong educational expertise and understanding of best practices in pedagogy, curriculum development, and teacher training and ability to plan, execute, and monitor initiatives effectively and independently.  

    • Language Proficiency: Fluent in reading and writing English and Hindi

    The Project Associate is a crucial role in fostering a successful partnership with the Government of Madhya Pradesh and achieving the strategic objective of Peepul to enhance the quality of education in India's public school system. The Project Associate will lead and execute initiatives independently, focusing on supporting and holding teachers and academic officials accountable. They will combine educational expertise, creative problem-solving, and stakeholder management to design, implement, and monitor high-quality projects aimed at improving education in the state.

     

    Responsibilities would include (including but not limited to):

    To be a quality Social Science/Science content developer aligned with organizational philosophy and system needs:
    • Create and curate Social Science or Science–specific educational content, including training session plans, teaching modules, scripts, schema, lesson plans, and other relevant resources for teachers in the government school system.
    • Ensure that all Social Science content is contextualized to the government school environment and supports classroom implementation.
    • Develop content that aligns with educational standards, curriculum requirements, and pedagogical best practices in Social Science/Science.
    • Conduct thorough subject-specific research to ensure accuracy, relevance, and alignment with current educational trends and practices in Social Science/Science education.
    • Analyze teacher and student needs as well as feedback to refine and improve the quality of Social Science/Science content.
    Strategizing and planning the key interventions under Teachers’ Capacity Building:
    • Design and strategize comprehensive teacher capacity-building interventions in Social Science/Science, including in-person and virtual workshops, training sessions, and professional development initiatives, tailored to address identified gaps and enhance classroom effectiveness.
    • Stay updated on the latest trends, resources, and pedagogical innovations in Social Science/Science education and apply innovative approaches to enhance teacher engagement and learning outcomes.
    • Create documented reports of project/training implementations, design forms, and prepare decks for Social Science/Science–related events and training.
    • Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to institutionalize processes and ensure the quality of Social Science/Science interventions.
    • Codify best practices and case studies in Social Science/Science teaching to ensure knowledge management and sharing within the organisation and with the wider sector.
    To be a strong team collaborator and engage with key government stakeholders:
    • Work closely with senior government stakeholders, academic teams, and teacher trainers to design, develop, and implement Social Science/Science–related projects/interventions.
    • Develop and maintain strong operational relationships with government partners, providing technical and subject matter leadership in Social Science/Science.
    • Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of the Indian K-12 Social Science/Science curriculum and classroom realities in interactions with stakeholders (e.g., Government counterparts).
    To ensure the quality of large-scale implementation with a focus on impact:
    • Develop systems to deliver agreed-upon Social Science/Science content and training outputs, with ownership for specific tasks, effective use of data, and clear communication across the programme.
    • Define success metrics and growth aspirations for Social Science/Science interventions and communicate these effectively with all stakeholders (internal and external).
    • Collaborate with the in-house M&E team and external experts to develop appropriate project evaluation tools for Social Science/Science, including rigorous academic assessments where relevant.
    • Support and ideate on the large-scale implementation of Social Science/Science projects in close coordination with Peepul’s education and training team, in consultation with Project Manager(s) and Programme Manager(s).
