As an International Reporting Associate, you will work with the broader financial reporting team and will drive timely and accurate completion of statutory reporting requirements across a number of international entities and resolve project roadblocks as needed.
What You Will Be Doing
With direction from the Manager, International Financial Reporting and others, you will
- Prepare and maintain statutory ledgers that track US GAAP vs local GAAP/IFRS differences year over year
- Review the financial schedules to support external service providers in compiling and preparing statutory financial statements prepared in accordance with local l GAAP and IFRS reporting standards.
- Project manage the financial statement audits to ensure resolution of accounting and reporting issues, timely completion of audit, and filing of the respective statutory financial statements
- Monitor the implementation of new accounting standards under local GAAP/IFRS

- Coordinates with US management regarding assignments and gains an understanding of requirements. Ensures procedures are written.
- Trains team on assignment requirements.
- Ensures reporting consistency in the financial statements, board reports and information provided to analysts. Will review the financial statement information prepared and ensure accuracy and completeness of the report.
- Ensures deadlines are met.
- Proposes new disclosures and modifications to reports in response to new pronouncements and guidelines.
- Assists with creation of new disclosures related to new investment types.
- Will oversee and review information produced for audits of Investments.
- Responsible for understanding the investment reporting database and making reporting adjustments where necessary
- Reviews or prepares analytic analysis of financial results.
- Responds to ad-hoc reporting requests requiring interpretation of requests, professional formatting and explanation of results.
- May prepares related journal entries and reconciliations for accounts.
- Executes internal controls and completes proper evidence of execution.
- Performs duties inherent in a managerial role. Conducts performance reviews, approves requests for vacation/PAL, manages performance issues, and has hire/fire authority. Trains, coaches, mentors and directs the work of direct reports.
- Will plan and determine staff reorganization necessary to accommodate fluctuations in work flow or staff absences

EDUCATION:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
OTHER PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 6-8 years of Big Four financial reporting experience required.
- CPA preferred
- Advanced Excel skills
- MS Access skills preferred
- Excellent problem solving skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to independently manage department workload and proactively identify improvements as necessary.
