Investment and Financial Research

Analyst / Associate / Senior Associate: Investment and Financial Research Services
Analysts to Senior Associates work on financial / investment research projects with responsibilities that may include (but not be limited to):
• Support public and private markets buy side clients such as private equity and debt funds, family offices, institutional investors and others across functions and tasks
- Investor relations, deal screening, investment summaries and memos, sector and company analysis, financial modelling / due diligence as bale as advanced portfolio value creation tasks
• Support investment banking clients with pitch books, information memorandums, target identification, financial modelling, trading and transaction comps, industry research
• Support sell / buy side equity and credit research clients in initiating coverage, annual / quarterly maintenance of models and reports, sector studies and various thematic reports
• Take full responsibility of end-to-end execution of projects with low levels of supervision required (although experienced team managers are always available for guidance)
• Conduct thorough self-review of all work and be able to clearly communicate about the structure and content of deliverables internally and externally
Senior Associates are expected to manage multiple team members while being individual contributors and engagements and contribute significantly to firm building activities and typically have 5+ years of progressive, top quality experience with demonstrable skill sets in most work streams relatable to investment banking and public/private markets investment analysts. Senior Associates are eventually expected to manage 5 to 8 Analysts and Associates and multiple clients engagements
Associates typically have 3+ years of experience and will manage 3 to 5 team members directly or supported by supervisors. Analysts have zero to three years experience supported by strong education, internships and exposures
Required skillset and characteristics
• Exceptional developed and demonstrable research, analytical, financial modeling and presentation/story telling skills for Associates and Senior Associates and equivalent tested aptitude for Analysts and Interns
• Multi taskers, hard working attitude suitable to professional services environment especially for small and growing firms
Required background:
• Top-tier education and academic performance is essential to these roles
• Relevant experience in a KPO, boutique local investment banks, captive CoEs of investment banks and asset managers, consulting firms and equivalent for Associates and Senior Associates
- Associates are also hired as fresh Masters/MBAs from Tier 1/equivalent institutes in India or top Masters in Finance or equivalent programs approad such as LSE, HEC, ESSEC, ESADE, IE and other US/European and international schools
- CFA Level 2 is desired for Associates and onwards
- Highly entrepreneurial, no-nonsense, non-bureaucratic, and inquisitive mindset
- High ownership, bias to action, and the ability to inspire others.
