About the Role:

The ideal candidate will have a strong experience in architecting and deploying AWS services, financial management principles, and a passion for optimizing cloud costs. Project Manager - Cloud FinOps Project

• 12 months contract! 12 months extension option
• Location – ACT
• Australian Citizens with Baseline clearance

Infinite Consulting is seeking a talented and experienced Project Manager for a Cloud FinOps Project for our esteemed large Federal Government Client. The initial contract is for 12 months with 12 months extension option!

About the role:

As the Project Manager you will manage a cloud governance FinOps project, which will include enhancing and implementing new cloud cost reporting, undertaking cloud optimisation assessment activities, developing a FinOps framework, and robust cloud policy and cloud strategy.

Duties for this role will include, but will not be limited to:

• Writing minutes, briefing documents, business cases, project reports for the senior executive staff, committees and project boards.
• Ensuring successful management and delivery of the project while managing risks, budgets, timelines, and resources.
• Undertaking procurement evaluations activities and recruitment activities, as required.
• Working with the Cloud Governance section, and third-party vendor, facilitate, organise workshops (cloud FinOps, policy and strategy), develop relevant reports, and provide training to large groups of staff, and
• Developing change communication, including training material, intranet pages.

Role specific requirements:

• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including the ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive cross-functional division project activities in a high-pressure environment.
• Extensive project management experience working in large-scale organisations, or Australian Government environments.
• Excellent understanding of FinOps best practice, relevant Australian Government legislation and supporting policies, and their applicability to cloud environments.
• Experience in developing high quality project documentation and presenting project updates for key stakeholders, committees/boards, and senior executive.
• Experience in providing training to large groups of staff, developing change communication, including training and guidance material.
• Proven experience in delivering large-scale FinOps cloud projects – Highly desirable.

Infinite Consulting is seeking an experienced ICT Business Analyst - Cloud FinOps Project for our esteemed Federal Government Client. This is a 6 months contract with 12 months extension option possible further, based on funding and approval!

About the role:

As the Business Analyst, you will assist with cloud governance FinOps project, which will include enhancing and implementing new cloud cost reporting, undertaking cloud optimisation assessment activities, developing a FinOps framework, and robust cloud policy and cloud strategy.

Duties will include:

• Work closely with system users to map business processes for the purpose of understanding business problems;
• Evaluate and draw conclusions from data related to current processes;
• Write proposals and justifications for various options and approaches;
• Create and manage use cases and other DevOps work items;
• Write functional requirements along with acceptance criteria;
• Update and document processes and procedures;
• Communicate and plan your insights with the project team;
• Develop test scripts, and acceptance criteria for testing the features; Identify risks;
• Write as built technical documentation, including security and or change requests for new solution implementation.

Essential Criteria:

• Significant experience as a Business Analyst;
• Strong business acumen and customer-centric approach to delivery;
• Collaboration skills with stakeholders and external vendors;
• Strong analytical skills, logical and structured approach to delivery;
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills;
• Experience working in Cloud FinOps in relation to Azure, and D365 – Highly Desirable.
