Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior PHE BIM Engineer to lead the end-to-end modelling and coordination of plumbing, water supply, drainage, stormwater, and firefighting systems for large, complex projects — from design development (LOD 300) through fabrication/shop drawings (LOD 400) to as-built delivery (LOD 500). You will be the discipline owner ensuring spatial accuracy, constructability, and seamless integration of all wet services into the federated BIM environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop highly detailed PHE BIM models in Revit covering all wet service systems, including:
- Cold & Hot Water Supply Networks – domestic water supply, booster pump systems, hot water return loops, solar water heating integration, and water meter assemblies.
- Soil, Waste & Vent (SWV) Systems – vertical stacks, branch connections, vent pipes, cleanouts, traps, and grease interceptors.
- Rainwater & Stormwater Drainage – roof drain networks, horizontal rainwater piping, ground drainage, and site stormwater collection tied into civil infrastructure.
- Firefighting Systems – wet risers, sprinkler mains, landing valves, hydrants, hose reels, pump room layouts, jockey/fire pumps, and storage tanks.
- Sump and Sewage Systems – collection pits, sump pumps, sewage treatment plant (STP) connections, and treated water return systems.
- Create parametric and data-rich Revit families with accurate flow rates, pressures, pipe sizing, fixture units, and material specifications.
- Perform advanced clash detection with structure, architecture, and MEP services using Navisworks Manage and drive issue resolution workflows.
- Produce detailed shop drawings , schematic layouts, riser diagrams, pump room layouts, manhole schedules, and valve charts directly from BIM models.
- Validate routing for slope, invert levels, hydraulic balancing, velocity limits, and space allocations, ensuring constructability and maintenance access.
- Generate model-based BOQs for pipes, valves, fittings, fixtures, tanks, and firefighting equipment.
- Coordinate with infrastructure and civil teams using Autodesk Civil 3D for external drainage tie-ins, water connections, and stormwater discharge networks.
- Integrate site feedback, RFIs, and redlines into LOD 500 as-built models and ensure complete metadata for facility management and O&M documentation.
- Actively participate in coordination meetings, presenting discipline-specific solutions and resolving design interface challenges early.
What we're looking for
- 2+ years of hands-on BIM experience in PHE systems for at least one major hospital, mixed-use development, luxury hotel, commercial complex, or residential project in India or the UAE .
- Expert proficiency in Revit MEP , Navisworks Manage , and familiarity with Autodesk Civil 3D for site utility integration.
- Strong knowledge of plumbing and drainage codes (NBC , IS , NFPA , or equivalent), fixture unit calculations, pipe sizing, and pressure zoning principles.
- Proven track record of delivering LOD 300–500 models, GFC sets, detailed shop drawings, and as-built documentation.
- Experience working within ISO 19650-compliant BEP workflows , with structured naming conventions and metadata-driven modelling.
- Excellent collaboration skills and the ability to work closely with multi-discipline teams and external stakeholders.
