Job Description:

ISOC is hiring a Fleet Maintenance Manager to oversee the servicing, repairs, and upkeep of its fleet of chemical/bulk liquid tankers. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with commercial vehicle maintenance and managing vendor workshops.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance schedules

  • Maintain service records, logs, and vehicle compliance documents

  • Coordinate with workshops, mechanics, and spare part vendors

  • Monitor fleet health, ensure roadworthiness, and minimize breakdowns

  • Track maintenance costs, fuel efficiency, and downtime

  • Oversee vehicle inspections, fitness renewals, and insurance updates

  • Report regularly to management on fleet performance and maintenance KPIs



Requirements
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in managing fleet maintenance, preferably in tanker or heavy vehicle logistics

  • Technical knowledge of commercial vehicle systems (engine, chassis, tanker equipment, etc.)

  • Strong coordination skills with vendors and internal teams

  • Familiarity with compliance requirements (RC, fitness, permits)

  • Basic working knowledge of MS Excel and maintenance software (preferred)

    - Review work plans to ensure daily production targets are met as effectively and efficiently as possible. Conduct analysis where there was a failure to achieve production.

    Continuous Improvement

    - Proactively identify areas for improvement by analysis from production/service operation reports and customer complaints, initiating action to ensure improvements.

    - Manage relationship with sub-contractors and the customer.

    - Support continuous improvement of processes. Look for and implement changes to improve maintenance and operational processes.

    KPI: KPI’s on Service Delivery OTD – (per customer)
    - Reliability, availability and punctuality (Other KPI’s relevant to contract cleanliness) 
    - KPI on fleet/infrastructure health Service Order Close-out – (real time )

    Educational Requirements

    - Higher National Certificate, or equivalent, in an Engineering field preferable.

    Desired Knowledge / Experience

    - Management experience of large groups of staff 10+

    - Preferable experience in fleet and /or maintenance operations and planning role.

    - Technical knowledge of relevant Traction and Rolling Stock.

    - An Understanding of Railway Depot and Railway Industry Operations preferable.

    - An Understanding of local Customer requirements.
