Truck Driver

The Role:

We are looking for a Truck Driver to join our team for ongoing work in Brisbane, Australia.

Your primary purpose of this position is to operate various truck-trailer combinations for extended periods of time between company/customer facilities, terminals or work sites.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate trucks in a safe and effective manner complying with relevant legislation, policies and procedures

• Perform daily safety and maintenance checks
• Complete and submit plant inspection sheets weekly
• Ensure trucks and equipment are safely and securely stored, advise supervisor of any requirements for maintenance or repairs 

The ideal applicants will have:

• Previous experience as Truck Driver
• Relevant tickets / licenses 
• Ability to pass a Pre-Employment Medical including Drug & Alcohol Assessment

• Operate commercial trucks and trailers in a safe and efficient manner.
• Transport goods and materials to designated locations according to schedules.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles.
• Ensure the secure loading and unloading of cargo.
• Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours and delivery details.
• Perform routine vehicle maintenance and report any mechanical issues.
• Provide excellent customer service during deliveries.
• Safely navigate routes using GPS and other navigation tools.

• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B.
• Clean driving record with no major violations.
• Proven experience as a commercial truck driver.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screening.
• Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance.
• Strong understanding of safe driving practices.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects as required.
• Flexibility to work varying schedules, including nights and weekends.

• Operate commercial trucks safely and efficiently to transport goods.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness.
• Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Load and unload cargo securely and with care.
• Maintain accurate driving logs, delivery receipts, and other required documentation.
• Plan routes and optimize delivery schedules.

• Maintain cleanliness of the vehicle interior and exterior.
• Ensure the safe and timely delivery of goods to designated locations.

• Familiarity with DOT regulations and safe driving practices.

• Physical stamina to handle driving for extended periods and loading/unloading.
• Good communication and customer service skills.

• Operating trucks to transport goods to and from client sites and distribution centers.
• Loading and unloading cargo, ensuring it is secured properly.
• Performing routine checks on vehicle systems (e.g., tire pressure, fluid levels, brake systems).
• Maintaining a log of all travel, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery times.
• Reporting any mechanical issues or accidents immediately.
• Following all safety regulations and traffic laws.
• Providing excellent customer service during deliveries.
