**Your Role**
- Leading and coordinating amongst legal and cross-functional stakeholders around the globe to respond quickly to unexpected internal and external events that may need legal support.
- Partners closely with the Compliance Department on compliance initiatives, policies and programs and ensures our business is in compliance with applicable laws, rules, regulations and policies. Assists the Compliance team in managing a robust compliance program to address key compliance risks.
- Proactively engaging and working alongside local regulators across multiple countries
- Managing strategic elements of longer-term legal initiatives involving many different jurisdictions
- Provide analysis and counsel on a range of legal issues, including corporate issues, business structures and models, M&A, employment issues, etc.
- Drafting and reviewing contracts and related documents for delivering service to clients and partners, which includes NDA, MSA, license agreements, vendor agreements, etc.
- Negotiate terms of contracts with internal and external stakeholders.
- Analyze a broad range of complex laws and regulations affecting the operations of the Company, including those arising from corporate structure and business models.
- Assist in providing general legal/risk mitigation advice to multi-functional teams on miscellaneous matters, such as labour and employment laws, IP, privacy, product compliance, and regulatory compliance issues.

**Requirements**:

- 5+ years of PQE with strong experience as a private practice lawyer at a top law firm dealing with IT/ITES (and preferably) some in-house experience.
- Experience with complex transaction management
- A law degree from an accredited law school in India,
- Knowledge and experience in dealing with software licensing, DaaS contracts, and data privacy matters.
- Must be up to date with industry trends and best practices in the technology space.

    The Regional General Counsel, India will be responsible for leading the legal and compliance team in India.     Associate General Counsel, APAC Monetization Responsibilities:
    1. Analyze products, policies and initiatives to provide practical legal risk mitigation strategies for products with global reach
    2. Provide product, engineering, and other business teams with legal advice across many subject areas including data protection laws and regulations, international competition law frameworks, intellectual property laws, marketing laws and regulations, and other global legal frameworks
    3. Help drive consensus and coordinate with public policy, partnerships, compliance, communications and other cross-functional teams on multi-disciplinary issues
    4. Work cross functionally with attorneys from other legal teams such as privacy, regulatory, commercial, and litigation

Meta requires all employed attorneys to have a law degree or equivalent certificate to permit the practice of law and be appropriately licensed and authorized to practice law for the company in their assigned work location. Unless prohibited under local law, an attorney must hold a current practicing certificate (including where required from the relevant authority in the jurisdiction of the assigned work location) or the local law equivalent bar registration or license as may be applicable
    6. 8+ years of legal experience as a practicing attorney (including at a law firm or in-house experience) in the area of technology and product development
    7. Able to operate both independently and cross-functionally
    8. Experience working on multiple projects at once in a fast-paced environment
    9. Proven problem-solving, communication and collaboration skills

    Allygroup is seeking a highly capable Executive Assistant to support the General Counsel of a key federal government agency. This opportunity is a full-time secondment position to start as soon as possible.

    Our ideal candidate would be someone who can hit the ground running and operate effectively from day one. The role requires flexibility and adaptability, as the workload is varied and may involve providing ad-hoc support to other senior executives.

    This is a dynamic and fast-paced position that offers the opportunity to contribute to a high-performing, collaborative team while engaging in a diverse range of responsibilities. Success in the role will require the ability to exercise discretion and sound judgment with tact, particularly when managing sensitive or confidential matters.

    Candidates must be Australian citizens, Canberra-based, and have a minimum of a Baseline security clearance to be considered.

    Duties may include, but are not limited to:

    • Managing the executive's schedules, including telephone calls, electronic diary appointments, meeting coordination, and preparation of relevant documentation

    • Coordinating all incoming and outgoing correspondence and managing the executive’s email inbox, including follow-up and monitoring

    • Providing administrative support to the executive and branch, including meeting room management, stationery, and office equipment

    • Actively managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support effective communication and collaboration

    • Filing and maintaining records in accordance with approved records management processes and security protocols

    • Conducting straightforward research and providing assistance with project coordination

    • Coordinating programs, executive meetings, and other branch activities

    • Providing secretariat support for meetings, including agenda preparation, minute-taking, and action tracking

    Candidates must be able to demonstrate:

    • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy

    • Ability to manage competing priorities in a structured and efficient manner

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    • High-level proficiency in IT systems, including Microsoft Office

    • Outstanding organisational and time management skills

    • Ability to follow established procedures and respond to directions
