Overview:
We're seeking a visionary leader to head our Genetic Laboratory, driving excellence in molecular diagnostics, genetic counselling, and cutting-edge research. This role combines scientific expertise, operational leadership, and compassionate patient engagement to build a world-class genetic services unit.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead molecular diagnostics, cytogenetics, and NGS platforms
- Oversee genetic testing accuracy, innovation, and quality assurance
- Establish and manage genetic counselling services
- Ensure compliance with NABL, CAP, NABH, ICMR standards
- Build and mentor a multidisciplinary team
- Drive strategic growth, collaborations, and research initiatives
- Engage with clinicians and patients to promote ethical, informed care
Qualifications:
- PhD/MD in Genetics, Molecular Biology, or related field
- 10–15 years in clinical genetics/molecular diagnostics, with 5+ years in leadership
- Expertise in NGS, cytogenetics, and genetic counselling
- Familiarity with global standards (ACMG, CAP, NABL, etc.)
Preferred:
- Fellowship in Clinical Genetics / Molecular Pathology
- Published research and experience in multi-disciplinary collaborations
- Exposure to bioinformatics, digital health, and AI in genomics
