This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a passion for applying technology to sustainable agriculture. You will contribute to developing best practices for data acquisition, processing, and interpretation, ensuring the highest quality of insights for our clients.   • Analyzing satellite, aerial, and drone imagery for agricultural applications.
  • Applying remote sensing techniques to monitor crop health, growth, and stress.
  • Utilizing GIS software for spatial analysis and data visualization.
  • Developing and implementing algorithms for precision agriculture applications.
  • Predicting crop yields and identifying areas requiring intervention.
  • Detecting and mapping pests, diseases, and nutrient deficiencies.
  • Collecting and processing ground-truth data for model calibration.
  • Collaborating with agronomists and farmers to provide actionable insights.
  • Researching and evaluating new remote sensing technologies and platforms.
  • Preparing technical reports and presentations on findings and recommendations.
Qualifications:
  • Master's or Ph.D. in Agronomy, Agriculture, Geography, or a related field with a specialization in Remote Sensing or GIS.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in applying remote sensing techniques to agriculture.
  • Proficiency in remote sensing software (e.g., ERDAS Imagine, ENVI) and GIS platforms (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS).
  • Experience with image processing and analysis of multispectral and hyperspectral data.
  • Knowledge of agricultural practices and crop physiology.
  • Strong data analysis and statistical modeling skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for a remote team.
  • Ability to work independently and manage projects effectively.
  • Familiarity with programming languages like Python or R for data analysis is a plus.
