Job Summary:

SAP Basis role: Candidate should able to manage and guide a team of 10–15 L1 & L2 consultants across shifts. The role involves end-to-end SAP Basis administration, team leadership, and operational excellence in a 24x7 environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage shift operations for a team of 10–15 SAP Basis consultants
  • Deliver SAP Basis support across S/4HANA, Business Suite, EWM , and associated landscapes
  • Perform system monitoring, performance tuning, transport management (ChaRM/CTMS)
  • Handle data growth analysis, security updates, deletion/partitioning, system refreshes, and upgrades
  • Manage SAP HANA , including performance optimization and troubleshooting across ERP, BW, BW4HANA
  • Drive incident and change management in line with ITIL practices
  • Create and maintain shift rosters, ensure task allocation and productivity improvement
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure planning, system sizing, HA/DR strategies
  • Maintain system documentation, support IT audits, and ensure compliance
  • Provide RCA, support patching, upgrades, and kernel/database maintenance
  • Train junior consultants and ensure knowledge sharing within the team

Technical Skills:

  • Expertise in SAP Basis (ABAP + Java Stack), FRUN, Cloud ALM , Solution Manager
  • OS: Unix/Linux/Windows; DB: HANA, ASE, Oracle, DB2, MaxDB
  • Strong hands-on with SAP installations, refreshes, upgrades, and patches
  • Performance monitoring (CPU, memory, I/O), SAP system assessments
  • Understanding of Unicode conversions, system copies, and user management

Must-Have Execution Skills:

  • Proven leadership of 15–20 team members in shifts
  • Experience in multiple SAP support projects
  • Solid understanding of ITIL framework, incident & change management
  • Ability to work independently on planning, sizing, and architecture-related tasks

Desired Profile:

  • 6–8 years of relevant SAP Basis experience
  • Strong communication, leadership, and team collaboration skills
  • Exposure to Agile methodologies and project basics
