We are seeking a seasoned GCP Engineer at the Associate Director level to lead cloud transformation initiatives, drive presales engagements, and architect scalable solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in cloud migration , VMware , GCVE , GKE , and a strong understanding of networking and security . This role demands a strategic thinker with hands-on technical skills and the ability to engage with clients, estimate solutions, and lead delivery teams.
Desired Qualifications
12+ years of overall IT experience with at least 5 years in cloud engineering.
Proven experience in GCP architecture , cloud migration , and presales .
Hands-on expertise with VMware , GCVE , and GKE .
Strong understanding of networking , firewalls , VPNs , and cloud security .
Experience in effort estimation, proposal writing, and client engagement.
GCP certifications (e.g., Professional Cloud Architect) preferred.
An ideal candidate should possess:
Presales & Solutioning
Lead client conversations to understand business requirements and translate them into GCP-based solutions.
Develop proposals, solution architectures, and effort estimations for cloud migration and modernization projects.
Collaborate with sales and delivery teams to support RFPs, RFIs, and client presentations.
Cloud Engineering & Migration
Architect and implement cloud migration strategies from on-premise or other cloud platforms to GCP.
Design and deploy solutions using Google Cloud VMware Engine (GCVE) and Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) .
Provide hands-on guidance and technical leadership during migration and modernization efforts.
Infrastructure & Security
Design secure, scalable, and resilient cloud infrastructure.
Implement best practices in network architecture , firewall policies , IAM , and data protection .
Ensure compliance with security standards and regulatory requirements.
Leadership & Collaboration
Mentor and guide engineering teams across multiple projects.
