Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Store Assistant to join our team at Vilvah Store Private Limited. This is a full-time position located in Coimbatore. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for inventory management and raw material handling, ensuring the smooth functioning of our store operations in line with our sustainable and quality-focused philosophy.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proven expertise in inventory management, ensuring accurate tracking and organization of stock levels (Mandatory skill).
• Strong understanding of raw materials pertinent to skincare products, contributing to efficient and effective stock handling (Mandatory skill).
• Ability to maintain and monitor stock control systems, ensuring adequate inventory levels (Mandatory skill).
• Knowledge in supply chain management to enhance distribution processes and logistics support across various channels.
• Familiarity with the FIFO (First In, First Out) method to ensure product freshness and quality maintenance.
• Capability to work collaboratively within a team, supporting colleagues in achieving organizational goals.

• Strong communication skills for effective interaction with colleagues and suppliers.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Assist in managing and organizing the store's inventory, ensuring all stock is accounted for and properly stored.
• Monitor and maintain optimal stock levels to meet the demand, initiating replenishment orders when necessary.
• Ensure all raw materials are of the highest quality and available in required quantities for production needs.
• Implement the FIFO inventory method to facilitate efficient stock rotation and maintain product quality.
• Work closely with the supply chain team to optimize inventory flow and minimize storage costs.
• Conduct regular stock audits and address any discrepancies in inventory records promptly.
• Provide support in maintaining a tidy and organized store environment, adhering to safety guidelines.

• Support the Store Manager in leading and motivating the team to achieve sales targets.
• Oversee day-to-day store operations, including inventory management, cash handling, and visual merchandising.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and uphold the brand experience.
• Monitor KPIs and contribute to business growth.
• Maintain strong product knowledge and inspire customers.
• Manage staff scheduling, attendance, and performance evaluations.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures.
• Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure smooth stock flow and replenishment.
• Ensure store displays are updated in line with seasonal changes, promotions, and new launches.
• Collaborate with marketing, finance, and operations teams to support business goals and store initiatives.

Experience:

• A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a luxury retail environment.
• Experience working with premium fashion/home wares products preferable.

Education/Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree.

Skills and Knowledge:

• Strong communication and upselling skills.
• Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel skills to intermediate level.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Business Development

• Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets as per brand goals.
• Identify opportunities to drive sales through client acquisition, upselling, and cross-selling.
• Track KPIs including conversion rate, ATV (average transaction value), and UPT (units per transaction).
• Support Store Manager in analyzing sales reports and strategizing action plans for improvement.

Client Experience & Relationship Management

• Deliver a world-class client experience aligned with luxury retail standards.
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with high-value and repeat clients.
• Manage clienteling activities — follow-ups, appointments, and personalized recommendations.
• Handle client escalations with professionalism and poise.

Team Management

• Motivate, coach, and support the sales team to achieve individual and store targets.
• Assist in training staff on brand storytelling, product knowledge, and service excellence.
• Ensure discipline, grooming, and adherence to brand protocols within the team.

Store Operations

• Oversee daily store operations including opening, closing, inventory, and visual merchandising.
• Maintain high standards of store hygiene, display, and ambience in line with brand guidelines.
• Coordinate with HO teams for stock replenishment, VM updates, and operational requirements.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs and company policies.

Visual Merchandising & Brand Presentation

• Work closely with the VM team to ensure displays reflect brand aesthetics.
• Ensure timely implementation of new collections, campaigns, and in-store experiences.

Reporting & Coordination

• Prepare and share daily/weekly MIS and performance reports.
• Collaborate with marketing, logistics, and CRM teams for seamless operations.
