+ **Manage Rhythm of Business (RoB):** Ensure squads complete 1CS reviews, GRC, weekly updates, roadmap reviews, security compliance, and cost management.

Responsible To: Product Design & Development Manager, Group RTPE (Relay, Train Protection, Energy)
Hours / Location: 40 per week / WITEC (Bangalore, India)
Main Purpose
Technically Lead & manage a group of electromechanical and electronics
engineers working on Design & Development of Electrical and electronics
products like switchgear and controlgear products with high integrity / safety
critical functions.
Responsibilities
- Requirement Analysis and Design Conceptualization: Lead the requirement
analysis process, develop technical specifications, and propose design
concepts/prototypes to meet the requirements. Select the optimum solution for
detailed design engineering.
- Detailed Design Engineering: Oversee the detailed design engineering
process, including DFMEA, engineering calculations, materials selection,
verification & validation, and manufacturability & serviceability studies. Ensure
the design meets project schedule and performance requirements.
- Technical Documentation: Responsible for writing and maintaining component
design specifications, component purchase specifications, design guides, and
templates.
- Validation and Instructions: Lead the development of validation plans,
manufacturing/assembly/service instructions, and other technical
documentation.
- Technical Review and Compliance: Conduct technical reviews of product
specifications to ensure compliance with set requirements.
- Project Metrics and Oversight: Manage project metrics related to design
reviews, design quality, schedule, and cost. Provide hands-on product
verification and validation testing.
- Culture and Collaboration: Embrace and drive a culture of fast work,
simplification, collaboration, innovation, and digitalization.
- Stakeholder Communication: Communicate project status, schedules,
upcoming deliverables, and technical solutions to the project manager and other stakeholders. Utilize various communication methods, including design reviews, reliability review meetings, team meetings, and project dashboards.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Work cross-functionally with global
engineering teams, systems engineering, program managers, technology
leaders, and downstream operations and support teams to ensure on-time
execution with on-target quality and cost of programs.
- Project Delivery: Ensure the Product Development projects meet overall
budget, operational, and quality standards.
Minimum Qualifications /Professional Experience
- Bachelor's / Master's Degree in Mechanical/ Electrical / Electronic /
Electromechanical or in "STEM" Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and
Math) or equivalent.
- Minimum 14 years of professional experience in the design of
electromechanical relays ideally in Electrical and electronics products
manufacturing Industry or other similar industry.
Competencies Professional /Personal
- New product design and development projects related to electrical and
electronics industry.
- Mechanical CAD design using SolidWorks, Inventor or similar tools.
- Design for RAMS . Reliability / MTBF assessments, Design FMEA, Process
FMEA, Functional Failure Analysis
- Design of injection molded parts.
- Design for automated manufacture.
- Knowledge of materials sciences including magnetics.
- Experience using electronic design and PLM tools such as Teamcenter for
document control, drawing control, requirements management and engineering
change control.
- Sound understanding of the product design process including testing and
validation.
- Strong influencing skills, strong communication skills with good command of
English, and demonstrated analytical skills.
- Highly dynamic, proactive and motivated, self-motivated, open minded
- Need to travel on occasionally within India and abroad.

As a Technical Team Leader in our Core Network Group, you will:
- Lead and mentor a team of top-tier engineers to deliver high-performance, scalable Core Network-as-a-Service components .

- Develop and optimize cloud-based networking and distributed systems .

- Work hands-on with Unix/Linux internals (kernel, user-space processes, sockets, IPC).

What We’re Looking For:
Education:
- BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field.
Experience:
- 18+ years of software development experience with solid technical depth.
- 2–3 years of hands-on technical leadership experience guiding high-performing engineering teams.
Technical Skills:
- Strong proficiency in C++, C, and Go programming/debugging .
- Solid experience in networking protocols (L4–L7), IPSec, SASE, CASB, ZTNA .
- Strong background in Unix/Linux systems – kernel, sockets, IPC.
- Knowledge of distributed, microservices-based architectures .
- Understanding of NoSQL databases (advantage).
- Familiarity with cloud-native environments (advantage).
- DevOps mindset and experience with CI/CD practices (plus).
Soft Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication – able to lead with openness and clarity.
