Responsibilities:

1. Experience in designing embedded hardware products for automotive or industrial applications.

2. Strong understanding of hardware design and development standards and regulatory requirements.

3. Proficiency in schematic design, PCB layout, and BOM creation.

4. Experience in board bring-up, testing, debugging, and validation

5. Ability to develop comprehensive test plans and define verification and validation criteria.

6. Excellent collaboration skills to work with manufacturing engineering teams and quality partners.

7. Strong problem-solving skills for conducting failure and root cause analysis.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics Engineering, or a related field.

Experience:

3 to 7 years of relevant experience in hardware design, PCB layout, and system validation

Skillset Required:

Knowledge of power electronics and motor control systems.

Schematic design, PCB layout, and BOM creation.

BTL India is looking for an electronics hardware Engineer for a senior role with 6 to 8 years of experience to join our R&D Improvement and Support team, which play a major role in ensuring continued design support to post market releases.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

As part of the R&D team, should be able to perform the following duties as assigned by Manager/Leads to support the team’s goals but not limited to the following:

• Understanding of system level, hardware design & requirements of the system/product.
• Lead the investigation of production and field issues/failures

- Understand the technical issues and drive the root cause analysis.

- Collaborate with engineering and production to provide solutions.

-Work on closures as per commitments

• Own and execute mitigations for components obsolescence/supply chain issues:

- Provide timely solutions to prevent production stop situations

-Identify alternate components based on design requirements & component specification/datasheet comparisons

- Perform evaluation & testing as needed for alternate qualifications

• Perform necessary hands-on testing at circuit level / module level / product level to evaluate the hardware performance for identified HW design changes.
• Work on circuit simulations, schematics entry, BOM management and PCB layout reviews as needed.
• Responsible in design change implementations through ECO

-Own documentation and co-ordinate reviews and approvals required to process the ECO.

• Own and implement new feature developments, compliance testing and country registrations for products in production.
• Responsible for planning, coordinating and implementing considering the timeline, capacities and cost impact etc.
• Work efficiently with cross functional and production teams to deliver the assigned task/project with quality within the timelines. Production testing – Responsible in fixture and tools development needed for production.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

QUALIFICATION:

1. BE / B.Tech / ME / M.Tech in Electrical/Electronics/Biomedical engineering or equivalent.
2. 6 to 8 Years of experience in working with Hardware designs

TECHNICAL COMPETENCY:

• Strong in fundamentals of Analog and digital electronics.
• Familiar with the concepts of Microcontrollers / Microprocessors operation and the hardware requirements for designing circuits using them.
• Understanding of power management systems – DCDC (Buck/Boost) and LDOs.
• Knowledge of hardware design for communication protocols like UART, SPI, I2C, RS232, USB.
• Proficient in component selection for circuit design.
• Experience in using common lab equipment like DMMs, Oscilloscopes, power supplies, Signal generators.
• Understanding of production process of PCB assembly & production testing

Essential Job Functions Support design and development of electronic control hardware for HVAC systems Build prototypes, modify, test, and troubleshoot as needed the electronic hardware and associated HVAC system, components, and instruments.

Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in electrical or Electronics Engineering required 5 years of demonstrable experience including 3 in hardware product development Experience with the design of electronic control systems including embedded hardware and power electronics Experience with hardware design including design of analog/digital circuits, PCB design and layout, circuit simulations, hardware-firmware interactions, selection of components, and optimization of design.

Expert level understanding of the theory and application of magnetics (inductors, transformers) and capacitors (Electrolytic, film and Ceramic) used for power conversion Experience with drives with working knowledge of FOC desired Experience with PFC desired Experience with designing systems for EMI Hands-on experience working in a lab environment with development, troubleshooting, and testing of electronic components and systems with embedded electronics Good understanding of technologies such as BLE, Wi-Fi, power management, sensor control, USB, UART, I2C, and various bus communication technologies.

Experience with current microprocessor devices and technologies including ARM SOCs, various microcontrollers, flash, and memory.

Proficiency with basic EE tools such as Oscilloscopes, Network analyzers, Signal Generators etc.

Familiarity with embedded firmware and software and ability to modify and update as needed Working level knowledge of embedded C, and Linux and Linux operating system Familiarity and use of current of electronics design and simulation tool suites Demonstrated experience in using electronic CAD tools preferably KiCad and others such as OrCAD/Cadence and Altium.
