This is mid-level project position, which is accountable for implementing and maintaining the Company's Safety and Health Procedures on a smaller, less complex project. Performs medium to high complexity tasks, and may act as a supervisor to other safety and health professionals.
Key Responsibilities
• Implements, administers and maintains project Drug and Alcohol Substance Abuse Program
• Develops and conducts employee safety and health training programs

The role:
You will be responsible for providing advice and guidance to Personnel, Managers and Stakeholders on all OH&S related initiatives and issues. With a key focus on providing a work environment that is safe and healthy for all employees, as well as educating and guiding the workforce, communicating and coaching at all levels any risks, protocols and helping achieve compliance.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Investigations, Policy Development and Implementation
• Risk assessment, identification and mitigation
• Training, advice and safety protocol education
• Compliance to laws, regulations, industrial health and safety guidelines
• Program implementation for accident prevention
• Provide a working environment that is safe and healthy for all employees

Requirements:
• A Degree in STEM, Business, OH&S or related OH&S discipline is essential
• At least 3 – 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing safety role preferred
• Excellent knowledge in state based WHS and RTW Legislation
• Membership of the AIHS as a signatory to its code of ethics, will be highlyregarded and desirable
• Certification as an OHS practitioner/professional will be highly regarded
