Co-Chairman | Healthcare Operations & Strategic Leadership | Hospital Platform

Join as Co-Chairman of a healthcare consolidation platform acquiring cashflow-positive hospitals (20–100 beds) in Tier-2/3 India. Seeking a retired senior healthcare executive with 15+ years leading multi-site hospital operations, clinical governance, and integration.

About the Company

We are building a healthcare consolidation platform to acquire and integrate small to mid-sized hospitals (20–100 beds) in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities. Our disciplined acquisition model targets hospitals with ₹10–₹0 crore in revenue and 12–18% EBITDA margins.

Hospitals will be organised into regional clusters with shared clinical protocols, procurement, and administration — improving efficiency and margins.

The market opportunity is significant: ₹1 trillion in hospital assets are expected to change hands in the next 5–7 years, driven by succession gaps, promoter fatigue, and regulatory pressures. Unlike aggregators, we will own and operate each hospital directly to ensure consistent quality, pricing, staffing, and branding.

Our target: ~5,000 operational beds through 70–80 acquisitions in 5–7 years, with EBITDA margin expansion and valuation uplift positioning the platform for an institutional sale or public listing.

Role Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Lead operational oversight and clinical governance.

• Drive standardisation of protocols, procurement, and staffing.

• Support hospital integration and performance optimisation.

• Co-chair board and operational committees.

• Retired senior healthcare executive with 15+ years managing hospitals or healthcare networks.

• Proven operational leadership in multi-site or integrated healthcare settings.

• Strong background in clinical governance, regulatory compliance, and quality frameworks.

• Prior board or advisory role experience preferred.

Compensation

• FREE FOUNDERS’ EQUITY ownership up to 7% , based on involvement and contribution.

• Equity in a cashflow-positive healthcare platform with audited financials and tangible assets — not speculative.

• Performance-based transaction completion bonuses.

• Director fees and honorariums introduced once cashflow positive.

Why Join Us

• Play a key role in building India’s largest mid-market hospital network.

• Solve liquidity, succession, and operational challenges for hospital owners.

• Shape a platform with consistent quality, cost efficiency, and clinical excellence.

• Work alongside leaders with deep expertise in both hospital operations and healthcare M&A.

Location & Commitment:

India-based, with remote flexibility. Candidates in India or NRI hubs (UK, UAE, Singapore) welcome.

Estimated time commitment: 5–10 hours per month for board meetings, strategic reviews, and key approvals (quarterly meetings in Pune).

Job Description

PAID BOARD ROLE + FREE FOUNDERS’ EQUITY

Adequate financing is planned — no capital required from board members.

Non-Executive Director – Healthcare Operations Expert | Retired Hospital CEO / COO | Indian Hospital Roll-Up Platform

Join the founding board of a hospital acquisition platform consolidating EBITDA-positive, family-owned hospitals (20–100 beds) across Tier-2 and Tier-3 India.

We are recruiting a retired hospital CEO, COO, or operations leader with multi-site experience to lead operational integration, clinical governance, and performance oversight as we scale. You will shape SOPs, standardise hospital systems, and guide post-acquisition transitions across the platform.

You will serve as the board-level operations expert, helping ensure that each acquired hospital meets platform standards across cost control, clinical quality, staffing, and compliance. You will work alongside the transaction and legal teams to assess operational risk, guide post-close integration, and design consistent playbooks across all portfolio hospitals.

This is not an executional operations role — it is strategic oversight. You will advise cluster-level leadership, monitor performance KPIs, and help build a scalable, integrated hospital platform with high RoCE and standardised delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Guide post-acquisition integration across SOPs, HR, procurement, IT, and administration.

• Mentor COOs and hospital management on operational discipline and margin optimisation.

• Standardise quality control, licensing, accreditation, and patient safety protocols.

• Participate in board reviews of diligence, acquisition fit, and performance post-close.

• Reduce CPOB, increase ARPOB, and improve resource utilisation across the platform.

• Develop operational frameworks aligned to platform-wide strategy and compliance.

Candidate Requirements (Mandatory)

• 20+ years in hospital operations or clinical leadership with P&L responsibility.

• Retired CEO/COO or Operations Head of a hospital chain or large multispecialty hospital.

• Experience managing 100–500+ beds across multiple facilities in Tier-2/3 cities.

• Familiarity with NABH, licensing, and compliance in Indian healthcare settings.

• Past experience integrating acquisitions or managing change in promoter-led hospitals.

• India-based with remote availability.

Compensation

• Equity: 3–5%, based on involvement

• Board retainer begins post-first acquisition

• No capital required; platform financing is in place

• Long-term upside participation through platform-wide growth and exit valuation

Time Commitment

• ~5–10 hours/month during initial planning

• ~15–20 hours/month during active diligence and integration phases

• Flexible — aligned with transaction windows and board governance cadence
