About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for highly motivated Midwives to provide temporary leave relief part/full-time in the Maternity Clinical Care Coordinator Role. 

Join the dynamic team at the Centenary Hospital for Women and Children, a leading tertiary centre delivering cutting-edge maternity and neonatal care across the ACT and Southern NSW. As the Maternity Clinical Care Coordinator, you'll lead passionate midwifery teams in a fast-paced birthing unit, driving innovation, excellence, and compassionate care. • Leading, supervising, and mentoring a multidisciplinary care team, including nurses, caregivers, and allied health professionals.
• Developing and implementing high-quality clinical care protocols and standards in line with regulatory requirements.
• Conducting regular care assessments and reviews to ensure ongoing suitability and effectiveness of care plans.
• Managing the scheduling and rostering of care staff to ensure adequate coverage and service delivery.
• Overseeing medication administration and management, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Liaising with families, general practitioners, hospitals, and other external agencies to ensure integrated and seamless care.
• Ensuring the safety and well-being of all residents, managing any safeguarding concerns and reporting as per policy.
• Participating in the recruitment, induction, and ongoing professional development of care staff.

• Provide clinical leadership and expertise for all aspects of elderly care services.

• Conduct regular case reviews and quality assurance audits to maintain high standards of care.

• Registered Nurse (RN) qualification with a valid nursing license.
• Significant post-registration experience in elderly care, palliative care, or geriatric nursing.
• Proven experience in a leadership or supervisory role within a care setting.
• In-depth knowledge of relevant legislation, standards, and best practices in social and healthcare.
• Strong assessment, care planning, and evaluation skills.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership abilities.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.
• Proficiency in using electronic health records and care management systems.
• A genuine passion for providing high-quality, person-centered care.
• Experience in quality improvement initiatives is desirable.
• Commitment to continuous professional development.
