**Job Description**
+ Lead and manage the technical and commercial delivery of electrical design packages across rail infrastructure projects with a focus on high voltage (HV) substation, traction power and LV design.
+ Develop concept and detailed designs, key elements of design deliverables including technical reports, electrical calculations and design specifications. Review CAD drawings and ensure thorough documentation of all design work.
+ Mentor and oversee the work of junior engineers and CAD technicians. Act as Lead Engineer/CRE, Checker on projects, ensuring all outputs are delivered on time, to budget and to client expectations.
+ Ensure accuracy in drawings and calculations, designs comply with all relevant regulations, including CDM and Health & Safety legislation. Provide technical and commercial oversight, including design planning, risk management and quality assurance. Play a key role in developing our HV substation and LV design capability as part of the Electrification & Power (E&P) team
+ Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated and constructible design solutions. Familiarity with the full project lifecycle - from feasibility and concept design through to detailed design and construction support
+ Demonstrated ability to manage design packages independently and contribute to project planning and execution.
**Qualifications**
+ Master of Engineering degree (or equivalent education) in an appropriate engineering discipline from an accredited college or university.
+ Chartered Engineer (or actively working towards chartership) with a recognised institution (e.g. IET) or Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent in the relevant field from any global organization
+ 12 + years of experience in railway Electrification & Power design and delivery
+ Experience in leading projects as a checker, CRE or Lead Engineer
+ Proven experience in HV substation design, traction power and LV design preferably on Rail infrastructure projects.
+ Experience working with UK clients or on international projects is a strong advantage.
+ Strong understanding of international design standards (such as Network Rail, BS, IEC, or equivalent).
+ Strong technical writing, Excellent communication, coordination and stakeholder engagement skills
