HR Associate
Location: Bangalore
Role Type: Full-Time
Experience: 0–2 years (Exceptional fresh graduates encouraged to apply)
Compensation: ₹3 LPA – 5 LPA (Based on experience and fit)
About Weekday
Weekday is fundamentally rethinking how companies hire. Backed by Y Combinator, General Catalyst, Kunal Shah (CRED), and Cloud Capital, we are building one of India’s most effective platforms to help high-growth startups and enterprises hire top-tier talent. Our combination of proprietary tools and operational rigor allows companies to hire the top 1% faster, better, and more precisely. We are profitable, fast-scaling, and deeply product-led. The way hiring happens in this country is changing—and Weekday is leading that change.
About the Role
This is not a traditional HR role. This is a high-stakes, high-impact opportunity to be a founding team member driving the people engine of a fast-growing startup. You will work closely with the founders and leadership team and play a critical role in designing and scaling the systems, talent strategies, and culture frameworks that shape how Weekday operates. This role is for someone who wants to build, not follow. Someone who understands that great teams don’t happen by accident—they’re architected with intention, speed, and clarity. This is an opportunity to directly influence how a company scales, how its people grow, and how its culture takes shape.
Requirements
Design and implement scalable internal systems across HRIS, ATS, performance management, compliance, and payroll. Automate and streamline operational workflows to remove inefficiencies and manual overhead. Build processes from scratch that are robust, founder-friendly, and designed for scale.
Own talent acquisition end to end—define hiring strategies across functions, set up recruitment infrastructure, and lead structured, repeatable hiring processes that deliver high-quality candidates. Drive initiatives around candidate experience, sourcing systems, interview design, and closing loops. You are not filling roles—you’re building the team that will build the company.
Collaborate with leadership to develop org structures, performance frameworks, and career progression systems. Codify values into scalable rituals, feedback systems, and engagement programs. Build a company that is not only efficient, but inspiring to work at.
Lead special projects and cross-functional initiatives that directly impact company trajectory. Own critical founder-priority initiatives related to culture, operations, and organizational design. Operate as a systems thinker with the ability to zoom out and understand strategy, and zoom in to execute with speed and precision.
Benefits
Who You Are
You’re early in your career (0–2 years of experience) but already think like a builder and operator. You are structured, systems-driven, and deeply organized. You communicate with clarity and confidence. You move fast but with thought. You’re the kind of person who sees chaos and starts creating order—not because someone told you to, but because you know it needs to be done. You’re obsessed with how teams work, how culture spreads, and how smart decisions are operationalized at scale. You care about people—but more importantly, you care about helping them operate at their best. You want to be part of the early team of a company that’s going to change how hiring happens across India—and you want to help architect the systems and teams that will make that possible.
What You’ll Get
You will work directly with founders and leadership on company-defining projects. You will get a front-row seat to the decisions, experiments, and strategies that drive startup growth. You will own things that are far above your experience level. You will operate in a high-trust, high-autonomy environment where the default is to give you real responsibility from day one. This role will shape your career. You will never look at operations, people, or organizations the same way again. If you do well, there’s a clear path to long-term leadership.
Apply if
You’re not looking for a safe or easy job. You’re looking to do the most meaningful work of your early career. You want to work directly with smart, mission-driven people and build something that matters. You want to be respected not just for effort, but for outcomes. You’re here to build a company—not to manage one.
