AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

• Plan, source and coordinate recruitment of Indian ship staff to meet fleet manpower

including Senior Officers and Senior Engineers.
• Conduct initial shortlisting and screening of candidates, clearly communicating company
policies and expectations to ensure compliance.
• Ensure all candidates meet the qualifications and certifications required by the STCW 95,
including the 2010 Manila Amendments.
• Match candidate profiles with job specifications and company requirements to ensure
suitability, considering factors like rank, vessel type, and engine type.
Collaborate with Marine HR Recruitment team to build and maintain a strong talent pool.
• Identify and implement improvements to enhance the efficiency of the recruitment
process.
• Perform bi-weekly reviews of pending applications to minimize processing times.
• Conduct monthly manpower analysis, projections and prepare monthly and quarterly
Marine HR KPI reports.
• Prepare data pertaining to recruitment for management review as needed.
Market Intelligence & Compensation
• Assist in preparing Indian market survey and monitoring the market trends in India.
Maintain a thorough understanding of market wages and provide recommendations to
Manager (Marine HR) in Singapore for wages adjustments or calibration annually or as
required.
Data Management & Systems
• Ensure data accuracy and integrity in crewing software entries made by team members.
Advertising & Vendor Management
• Coordinate with recruiting agencies (e.g., Seajob, Jobships etc.) for advertising on
platforms such as social media (e.g., Facebook, Instagram etc.) and maritime publications,
ensuring ads meet company standards.
• Negotiate with recruitment service providers and recommend cost-effective options to
the General Manager for approval.
External Relations & Compliance
• Coordinate and maintain effective communication with local authorities and maritime
unions to ensure compliance with legal requirements and foster positive relations.
