HR SOLUTIONS EXPERT

OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

As a vital member of the Digital Services organization, the HR Solutions Expert within the Support Functions Business Solutions Architecture team plays a pivotal role in overseeing the landscape of HR solutions used globally at Alstom. This position entails managing solutions and services in the domain, actively engaging in projects for solution delivery, ensuring compliance and adherence to cybersecurity and privacy standards and providing ongoing support.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the architecture of HR solutions, including documentation, blueprint maintenance, and solution interface definition.
  • Provide guidance to run teams and collaborate closely with HR teams, IT business partners, and, when necessary, assist in negotiations with local unions.
  • Support day-to-day activities by managing changes and evolutions through a robust release management process, and handle obsolescence.
  • Collaborate with support management and external partners to ensure effective support and maintenance of solutions.
  • REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field.
  • Relevant experience in HR, HRIS and/or IT governance.
  • Proficient in writing comprehensive documentation and maintaining blueprints.
  • Strong understanding of release management processes and system architecture.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Knowledge of HR information systems, data management, global payroll and compliance regulations, and/or payroll software.
  • Experience or exposure working with SAP SuccessFactors, ServiceNow, ADP, UKG/Kronos and/or other time management and payroll software is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with works council negotiations and compliance regulations.
  • Experience in handling obsolescence and implementing system updates.

    You'll play a pivotal role in overseeing the landscape of HR solutions used globally at Alstom.     Senior HR Solutions Analyst

    Summary:

    The Senior HR Solutions Analyst provides primary support for the employee lifecycle and HR work globally, as part of a global HR Solutions team. Responsibilities include handling diverse and confidential activities which require a strong affinity for working in HR systems and general-to-advanced knowledge of policies and procedures in all areas within Human Resources (HRIS, Applicant Tracking Situations, On Boarding, Talent, Invoice & Billing, Probation, Service Anniversary, Employee letters, Organization Announcement, etc.)

    Responsibilities Include:

  • Building strong partnership with HR stakeholders (HRM’s, Rewards Partner, Talent Acquisition etc.)
  • General knowledge of HR operations, policies, and processes and to act as an intermediary with other HR teams
  • Facilitates resolutions to an assortment of problems and escalations that are moderately complex in scope
  • Communicating appropriate options for resolution in a timely manner
  • Focusing on bringing consistency and efficiency to our global and regional transitions
  • Providing project management support and leading special projects/transitions as required
  • Support feasibility studies, impact analysis, and lead cross-divisional projects
  • Facilitate talent activities viz; Resume Vetting, Interview scheduling, candidate reimbursement, create prospect, US summer intern program, external job posting etc.
  • Initiate, monitor, and ensure completion of all relevant background checks, employment verifications, and drug screening/pre-employment health check processes and other onboarding related activities as required
  • Assist with the coordination and implementation of activities to support HR Managers: document preparation (employment letters, compensation letters, VISA letters, etc.)
  • Provide support for Induction scheduling and managing the record keeping of plant & lab visit of new hires
  • Support and facilitate the communication related to New Hire, Probation period, Service Anniversary etc.
  • Support and provide inputs of Inspire award recipients to Rewards team as part of Talent activity
  • Support Germany related activities viz; Anti-terror screening, preparing Invitation letters, Wire transfer forms, Company cars, Salary increase process, Headcount Report etc. 
  • Conduct audits of invoicing and billing related to various payroll, benefits or other HR programs and recommends any corrective action
  • Ensure timely and accurate maintenance of all HR documentation, including but not limited to employee files, EPIA form, I-9 information, benefits/billing documentation, etc.
  • Provide support for New Hire Orientation through the ability to answer basic questions about company-sponsored benefit plans (insurance, medical, dental, vision, 40lk, etc.) and refer to benefits specialist when necessary.
  • Ensure efficient and responsive follow up to Service Now/Ticket inquires, as appropriate
  • Actively participate in quarterly system enhancement and upgrade efforts
  • Supports global background check administration
  • Adhere to performance and service metrics established for the HR Solutions team
  • Qualifications:

    The following are required for the role

  • Bachelors/master's degree
  • 5 to 6 years of HRA experience related
  • Strong technical aptitude using human resources information systems like Workday, ServiceNow etc.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Quick learner and able to follow instructions, respond to management direction and improve performance through management feedback
  • Attention to detail; organized, accurate, thorough, and able to monitor work for quality
  • Ability to maintain the highly confidential nature of human resources work
  • Problem-solver, with strong ability to identify issues and resolve them in a timely manner
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative to identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work and partner effectively with others
  • Demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills
